  1. :help: I am thinking about buying a 1987 porsche 911 and when i went to look at the car it seemed to burn a little oil. I knew that that would b a chore in itself but i believe that its been burning oil for a long time becuase when i checked the oil it seemed like it had a lot of addetives in it. Since its been burning oil for a while im thinking about changing the entire exhaust system because it prolly has a nice coat of residue by now. While i was looking through some catalogues i noticed that the 1987-1989 years have few performance upgrades which im guessing is because its the 3 years between the addition of the hydrolic clutch to the 3.2 liter engine and the 3.6 liter engine. As i was inspecting the exhaust system i really wanted to know how it worked because it looked very odd. If anyone knows any info about those systems please tell me. Thx
