  1. Hi Fellow boxsterites

    I need new starter motor for my 1998 boxster r/h drive 5 sp manual have seen 2 types 1.1kw and 1.7 kw

    now the 1.7 kw high output is apparently 1" longer would this still fit ok.......... please advise and also having

    the extra output wouldnt jepardise anything ???? and please if you have correct part # to confirm the right

    starter as the one im looking at is after market....

  2. hi there guys..........and gals..............

    i want to put a cold air intake system on my baby.........but my mechanic (very old school)...has said that if the filter is a k and n which needs oil added to the element

    that it should not be used............as over a period of time say up to 12 months a bit of oil and other contaminents in fect the air mass meter and cAUSE THIS TO MAL FUNCTION..which then results in a new meter every 12 mths approx....i trust him big time (im to scared not to )...but is there a cold air intake that has a filter with out oil added ............to cartridge....or any other personal experiences..would be appreciated.......

  3. hey there boxster lovers.............i am wanting to put a cold air intake on my 1998 boxster fro bit more oooomph and sound i was looking at the fabspeed model from pelicanparts.....@$379.00....what opinions are there on this brand and or is there better models out there and if anyone has installed one how happy are they now and is it worth the excercise....

    just bought the car of my dreams 1998 boxster man 5 sp

    subject oil change

    i live in australia..sydney it does not get real cold in winter gets down to 8 deg

    but in summer we can get 40 to 45 deg some days with plenty of humidity

    could you please advise me which oil filter and which grade of oil i should use for max efficiency
