  1. Make a contribution and you'll have access. It's prretty tricky and verry tight arround the tube. Let me know and I can walk you through it. Good luck!
  2. Did the replacement last night. Check DIY for comments. Thanks Renntech guys and Jeff Lopez! :clapping:
  3. I just offically joined this board, made a contribution and it already saved me about $300! :clapping: I replaced the failing oil filler tube in my 97 Boxster last night. Part was $35 and it only took me about 2 plus hours and it was my first time. The dealer said 3 hrs. The only real difficult part was pulling the tube fill connection (which also holds the coolent res) out far enough to remove the spring clamp. It is a very tight space to work in, inside the engine bay. The new part which is an upgrade fit well. Hope this does the trick. Thanks again Renntech! :D
  4. Don't do it. Have them professionally painted or carbon fibered. Check with Eric at www.bumperplugs.com :)
  5. Found oil seeping from around the oil filler tube and maybe the oil seperator. The filler tube seemed to have more wet oil on the bottom of it. The nylon mesh was holding most of it. How is this fixed? Could it be a DIY?
  6. Hey everyone! Just purchased a new (to me) 1997 arctic silver/black Boxster with only 28k miles. It's beautiful! Any cool upgrades out there? Thanks! John
