  1. My Boxster is stock, and I have had it for a while now.
  2. 2002 Boxster S Convertible with around 23,000 miles...I have had this problem that I have had once before, but it magically went away for a few weeks. Here's the problem...the computer limits my speed to 10-12 mph and 1800 RPM on the dot, while in 1st gear. When I shift into higher gears, my top speed increases minimally. When in 6th gear, it limits to around 20-25 mph. I never lock my car, but decided that today I would do it for the heck of it. This is when the problem kicked back in. I think it has something do with a security/valet mode, to limit the valet to exceed speeds. (not to s
  3. Thank you all for the suggestions. I will try them all and see what happens. Brad: I will definitely check that out, because I live in Mt. View. If anyone else has advice, I would appreciate it.
  4. There is nothing mechanically wrong with my Boxster S. However when I try to accelerate, the car just automatically decelerates when it reaches around 25 mph. I believe it is the MAF sensor, but I am not really sure. I can never reach freeway speeds because of this limiting problem. It also does not go above around 3000rpm. Any help would be appreciated. I see a lot of people are viewing my topic, however are not responding. please help
