  1. I just became a Porsche owner :D I bought a 2007 Porsche 911 C4S Coupe that came equiped with PCM2.1 with CD changer and telephone module; however, I recently discovered that it doesn't include the NAV system (no DVD drive in the trunk). Now, a few 911 owners that I know who have used the NAV system from Porsche claim that it isn't very user friendly, not touchscreen, a little slow, and not always very quick on calculating routes. I'm looking for some feedback from other 911 owners who have had the factory NAV and replaced it with a 3rd party unit or simply added a TomTom (or other hanheld GPS). My car is a CPO car and I'm not interested in replacing out the factory CD/Stereo unit at this time as it will void the warranty coverage on the car; however, I would still like to know what other users think of the factory NAV (when updated to the latest version). Thanks to all. On a side note, I'm trying to confirm if my PCM system is updated to the latest software/firmware: PCM: 05395BD1/4505 (Model C - I believe) System Soft: 05462AD1/4605 Amplifier: 00017600/3105 CD Changer: C38/3003 If it matters, the car includes the Bose Surround System as well. While I have spent the better part of a month researching on RennTech for most of the information I needed, I would appreciate any clarification one can provide on these outstanding questions I have, thanks in advance to anyone who can assist. :renntech:
