  1. I have not bought a car yet but I have been looking nationwide every week.  Im a bit of a sports car purist and Im pretty picky on color and options.  : )

Ive also decided to buy a coupe since the rear seat on the cabrio is so upright.  Our boy is almost 3 and we want a second so I will eventually need two seats back there, coupe just seems like the better choice.

Im a little worried tho as when I have my 350Z coupe all I wanted to do was haul *** and I got a ton of tickets (it was red with headers and exhaust tho).  Then I had a 350Z convertible and finally the Boxster S and I found in the convertible I could drive fast but not crazy and still enjoy the experience because of the more visceral feeling with the top down.

Anyway, so my plan is to do the coupe then maybe trade out for a convertible once the kids are in booster seats.  I miss the convertible already, my first time in 12 years without one.  : (

  2. Note, if you have changed the Fuel Tank Vent valve (the one up by the filler neck) you have to make sure the sensor that goes in between the filler tube and the sensor is installed correctly.  Mine fell out while changing it, so in addition to the noise I could not fill the tank.  I took it all apart again and installed the sensor that sits in between the fuel tank vent valve on the filler neck.  Put that sensor back in the right place and all is well, the noise is gone and I can fill with gas again.  : )

  3. Take a listen to this video and let me know if you've had this problem or what you think it may be. Thanks : )

    So here is what happened:

    1. I heard this noise with no other symptoms, I thought, coming from the tank, no brainer, its the pump. Replaced the pump...easy. Did not solve the problem.
    2. Still no other symptoms other than the noise Then I did some more research and found the comments about the Fuel Tank Vent Valve on Filler Neck, (aka Bleeder Valve), I changed that. Did not fix the noise, AND I was able to fill the tank once but last time I tried to fill the tank it wont accept the fuel.
    3. So now Im looking for help. Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks. : )

  4. There is no free lunch on this issue.  You may get less dust but you will likely get more noise, less performance, worse wear, more fade, etc.  The manufacturers KNOW people dont like dust but the dusty pads work the best, I would not switch.  Instead use some synthetic wax on your wheels.

AND dont use wheel cleaner, its VERY harsh and will damage the wheel and caliper paint.

  5. Ive read a ton of articles on this and other forums but cant seem to find a specific model that is currently on sale and that will for sure fit the 997.2 convertible.

I have a 2 year old and we are working on baby #2 so I need two seats, one for newborn and one for toddlers.  Booster seats will not help me yet.

Can anyone help?  Thanks.   : )

  6. My lil boy is 2 and Ive made it this far with a Boxster but now we are working on baby #2.  So, Im looking for a 997.2 S Cabrio.  I still want to have a convertible and I want the 2009 because of the new engine.  Im thinking manual trans, Bose, heated seats.  Would love sport exhaust but seems hard to find.

Any tips on what to look for, any known problem areas?  Any other options that I must have?  Thanks : )
