  1. Have you tried an OEM battery? They are about $200 each. (95AH, 110AH etc.)
  2. service manual calls for new sealing rings for all the drain/inspection/fill plugs i've gone through all the parts catalog but no luck finding them. any one knows how to get those? :thankyou:

  4. oops, the spare may not be useful for me. The subwoofer is too big to have enough space for the spare tire installation... spare tire
  5. well, engine oil change interval is 20k, but i don't run the oil more than 5k in my ctt
  6. the installation should be fairly straightforward 1, the control unit is located under the dash near the foot brake 2, one antenna for each wheel under each wheel's housing liner (a little bit more work than the control unit) 3, ask a tire shop to install the wireless sender unit for all the wheels 4, ask a dealer to reprogram the control unit and related components now just need to verify if the factory wiring exists for the control unit and antenna total cost will probably be around $700 (assuming you can handle step 1 & 2)
  7. can i change atf in a lazy way: without opening the cooler line, simply change out the atf a few times to get rid of most of the old fluid?
  8. in my area only the dealer can cut the blade and reprogram the remote. you can try to talk to a dealer to see if they can cut/program a key blade/remote which you may be able to buy somewhere online for a lower price without the original key
  9. Someone stole your spare I would think. In mine, the spare is just on top of the woofer in the trunk, bolted down. Of course the P.O. didn't bother to put the air-compressor back in, and no I don't have the air suspension. For future notes, the touareg aircompressor and the cayenne ones are exactly the same, touareg one is 75 bux or so vs 150 for the cayenne one. Thanks man.   10. Mine has a subwoofer in the trunk instead. And to make things worse it doesn't have a TPMS. So I am just wonder how people usually cope with this.

  12. Wow, Cayenne shouldn't be a dedicated offroad machine. Being in dirt once or twice a week may be too much for its tranny. You should at least service your tranny on a regular basis. I think you will probably be able to find a used tranny from a junk yard for about 2k ~ 3k.

Does your 04 CTT have any prewiring installed from the factory for the TPMS or is this going to be a completely new installation? i heard that there is an open connector where you can just plug in your control unit. you will probably need factory software, PST2 or PWIS to activate it. i will check the wiring before i actually place the order.

  15. Can i use ATE Super Blue Brake Fluid instead of ATE Gold Brake Fluid Type 200? So it will be easier to spot the new fluid.
  16. just did the brake bleeding job. yeah, even 15 PSI is enough ^_^ the old fluid was so clear, i couldn't tell when the new fluid came out :unsure: it's embarrassing that i almost used up two liters of ATE fluid. not sure if the last caliper was bleed completely since i stopped early in order to keep air from getting into the brake line...

  18. Hi, the service manual is calling for 2.0 bar bleeding pressure which is roughly 30psi however the motive power bleed tool use direction says not to exceed 20psi im confused...
  19. Any difference between them? either is about $340 The latest part # for I7K3 is 955 618 160 06 The latest part # for I7K4 is 955 618 160 13 After finding another nail in one of the tires, I am going to add TPMS for my 04 CTT just for peace of mind
  20. just make sure they are 948.602.104.03 / 05 or newer the old stuff is cheaper
  21. "Adjustment of Inlet Camshaft in relation to Crankshaft, Bank 2 – Signal Implausible" No CEL yet. Is this pretty bad or just benign? My 04 CTT drives just fine. Should I take it to the dealer to fix this?   22. I think Porsche uses Mobil 1 ATF 3309 in all Cayenne's auto tranny based on my research. However you have to idle the engine and make sure the tranny temp is 40C to get the correct fluid level Too bad that I haven't found where to check the tranny temp in my Durametric software.
