  1. Thanks. I will give it a go. I was hoping by 2010 Porsche did not do this anymore. Cannot get enough of the sound so if it does have auto mute, I will have to find a way to get rid of that.
  2. I have a 2010 987.2 Boxster S with chrono. It did not come with PSE but Pse was installed later by the dealer. How can I tell if it has the auto mute?? It does have the on/off switch installed on center console.
  3. Anyone got the 2 windscreens for 01 Boxster. I left my top down in a lot and guess what, yep they evaporated. Used scratched etc is fine. Thanks
  4. Can you tell me which textured dupli color that is please? Seems they offer 3 different shades. Thanks
  5. Thanks gentlemen. Exactly the link and info I needed. Will order the part and get er done.
  6. Had kid step on this cover when open and broke the hinge. I do see where I can get the part 95555216101A03 fairly cheap but cannot figure how to get it off. Looks like may clip in and it may slide out?? Anyone know?? Thanks
  7. Added picture. Anyone else have this problem??
  8. Right. Sorry. 2001 with sport package. That included sport seats. The seats(when pushed back) fit under the top of the roll bar but hit the cross bar and leave a mark across the top back of the seat. Back of the seat is painted with porsches silver metallic"special"paint. Thought I would cover top of back of seat with leather/Alcantara to cover marks and prevent any more.
  9. I have the leather sports seats that are a clam shell type back. When the seats are pushed all the way back, It hits the roll bar leaving a marks on the back of the seat. The back is the porsche "special silver metal paint" color and as far as I can find out, no touch up paint is available. I am considering covering this area with leather. That would hide the damage and hopefully prevent more damage. Looked for someone selling a custom cover but to no avail, Anyone tried this or have another solution? Thanks
  10. For those press fit knobs that absolutely will not pull off. I tried it all on 2001 s 6 speed to no avail. I had to find another way to get it off. Since I had a new one, I could afford to trash the old one. I removed the plaque on top(popped it off). I then took a box cutter and cut the leather boot cover at backside until it came off. Then took a box cutter and sliced from top to bottom on rear side the shifter until it peeled off. Cuts easy. Very quick.
  11. 2006 Cayenne driver sun visor black alcantara Like to get the part number and what years will fit please. Thanks Ben
  12. I did locate the retainer in case anyone needs to find a source for $22 at Jim Ellis Audi Parts website. www.jimellisaudiparts.com/ Audi part - exact match!! Part number 3B9885557. b41 is black. Don't know the other color codes. Super delivery. Ordered and had in hand in 2 days regular shipping.
  13. I keep breaking the small retainer clip located on top of the rear seats under the headrests that catches the back seats when folding them down. Seems to be a weak part or maybe clumsy operator. Anyone know where to get after market or have some I can buy? Dealer charges about $70 and I know that is high but cannot seem to find elsewhere. Any advice would be appreciated.
  14. Thanks so much bigbuzuki. I think this may lead me to the answer. Ben
  15. I am trying to locate the fog light relay on 2006 CTT. Can anyone help me with that. Seems the manual does not want anyone except a Porsche tech. to mess with the relays so they do not tell you where to look. I am attempting to jump two terminals to get the foglights to stay on all the time for DRL. Thanks
  16. Would anyone have the wiring diagram for the headlight switch? The switch that does have O-auto-parking-headlights? and pulls out 1 click for front fog, 2 clicks out for rear fog? Trying to apply jumper to get the fog lights to stay on as running lights. Thanks.
  17. No problem with inspection. Live in Mi. and they do not inspect until it dies by the side of the highway. Thanks for the info on DTRL. Will look into that if I cannot find a better/easier way. Anyone got a wiring diagram of the headlights/fog lights?? Maybe I could find the fog light wire in a fuze box and wire it direct??
  18. 2006 CTT- Has anyone wired the fog lights so they stay on all time to use as running lights? I generally run with lights on (black cayenne) but notice the gps is somehow hooked with the lights so when lights are on, the gps goes to night light mode. That makes it a little difficult to see. I am getting older anyhow and need all the assistance seeing that I can get. Was hoping someone had an easy switch of wires to get this done. Thanks Ben
  19. I was looking for a tire to last longer than 15000 miles and came across these. Michelin all season tires at a Sam's Club. Their number 213195. 19". 55000 warranty. Have had cheaper goodyear, bf goodrich, dunlop, etc. These are the best tires ever. Extremely quiet and good grip in snow and dry. I am in Michigan so I get a fair amount of snow and I drive fairly aggressive. Hopefully last 55000 but if not, Sam's will replace them. Not listed as a recommended tire for CTT(just under the load and speed rating I think) but if you are not going to do over 150 mph consistently and do not autocross your CTT, they meet all the other criteria. Tire Size: 275/45R19/XL Service Description: 108V Sidewall: Black Side Wall Material Number or MSPN: 4493 Rim Width (min. to max.): 8.5-10.5 Section Width: 10.75 Overall Diameter: 28.78 Tread Depth (32nds): 9.5 RPM: 723 Max Load (lbs.): 2004@50psi UTQG Rating Treadwear: 440 Traction A Temperature: A
  20. Roli- when I heard the humm, I could feel the vibration by touching the center console. Hope you do not have the problem but mine seemed to start as yours did. Would do it one time and go away for awhile. The got to the point of every time the ac called for really cold air and fan full blast. Got service in a couple weeks. Will have them check it out.
  21. 2006CTT- Getting a reflection on the PCM/GPS screen when heading into the sun. If a light color (white shirt) or my hand ,when I reach for a dial, I get the reflection from sun off light object and can hardly read the screen. Have tried a couple screen type anti-reflectors but no luck yet. They only seem to dull the screen and not stop the glare. A properly placed black cardboard piece works but it gets in the way and kinda trailerparkish. Anyone had any luck with products to fix this? Gets hairy when in Chicago, following the GPS, headed west at sundown. Of course the up side is the gps will not let you get lost for long but you surly can lose a lot of time if you hit the wrong freeway.
  22. Can anyone tell me if there is only 1 ac/heater/fresh air fan on a 2006 CTT or anyone have a disgram of heating cooling system? Thanks
  23. I did change the filter. A bit of crude and a few bugs in there. Is there an auxiliary booster fan on the 2006 CTT ac? I am only getting the problem when it sets in sun and heats up a lot 80+outside). As I start it, the ac starts, cool air starts blowing, then the blower kicks into "boost" mode blowing a lot of cold air. Runs that way for 30 seconds or so then the hum begins. cool air still comes out for a bit but not "boosted" as before. After a couple minutes of that, the whole ac starts shutting down and starting up with the hum and less air until the inside gets cooler. Then the ac runs fine. I am somewhat puzzled about the boosted air flow. Could the 1 fan have an accelerated speed? Thanks Ben
  24. dropped the fan, Works good on bench. Oiled, cleaned and put back. Works ok on normal cool. Just when it kicks into high speed for max cool, it still vibrates, or somrthing does. Can that still be the fan that acts up when going into high speed?? Please advise if you know. Thanks
