  1. Hi, I've read a lot of the threads on window failures etc and it seems that the issue is usually caused by window regulators or door handle micro switches. Before I start pursuing these parts and committing myself to a weekend of door dismantling...I would just like to check the problem with someone.... Problem started a couple of weeks ago, after some heavy rainfall (coincidence??):- as soon as the car is unlocked (using keyfob) the passenger side door window drops 1/4" by itself before anyone goes near any of the door handles (and the interior door lights come on). It stays 1/4" down during start-up, driving, raising/lowering the window works OK but still stops 1/4" short....and it only goes up again when I lock the car again using the remote keyfob. Driver's side window is working fine.. I have checked fuses and all seem OK.....actually apart from wind noise when I'm doing over 60 the most annoying thing is the interior lights being on when driving in the dark (which now seems to be most of the time in the British winter!) Any guidance gratefully received... Tony
