  1. If you guys want to install a wind deflector, here's some pics. I bought this from a P9 member for cheap.. make sure you asked if there's mounting kit included.. that would cost you an additional $50+ ... mounting kit part number for all 987 - 98756190102 still cheap compared to the retail of $450..lol tools needed - Rivetter, flathead screwdriver.. First open the top,put the seats all the way towards the front and remove all the headrest pads.. puling them out, in my case they were easy, but I saw some posts that they had a hardtime pulling it out.. 987's comes with predrilled holes for the mounting kit.. Line up the mounting kit.. kit comes with 4 rivets, use a rivetter to install the kit.. left side - right side - this small piece needs to be installed on the middle cover using rivets provided.. the kit comes with 8 new plastic pieces , replace all 8.. the old ones will get damaged when the headrest cover gets removes... reinstall all 3 piece headrest pads/cover..same way finish side view install the wind deflector in the middle slot, sorry i havent cleaned the glass..lol that;s it, installed pics.. now better to commute with the top down:)

  3. i agree with Loren, mine's not diy worthy:) you guys can just reference the b&m docs, it's more detailed..
  4. dont the wheels cost around 10 grand? plus the conversion? not worth it

  6. Cayenne Turbo S no question.. only made in 2006, very limited.. and 520 HP..:D but make sure it's certified or you can extend the warranty:) the only thing I like on the new Cayenne S is the sport button and power tailgate..LOL what do I know I only had 7 of them ... hahaha
  7. I've had the B&M ssk on my boxster before and the oem ssk on my 996 carrera.. but nothing compares to the 987/997 shifter assembly.. shorter throws, easy to shift/precise such a blast to drive. Some shift knobs like this uses tork screw, like what other says make sure you watch out and dont knock your teeth off while pulling it..:icon501::evilgrin: old one.. the longest to remove..LOL old one coming off I cant tell the difference..lol 997 at the bottom new one is in part # Finish product
  8. I havent posted this here, but I got another 996TT and it's great to be back.. First wanted to thank Alex(Sharky!) for such a great deal.. I dont hesitate to point every Pcar owner to them, Alex ,James and now Dan are great people!!!thanks!! guys You've seen this car on Total 911 with 800 HP,, now it's back to stock with evomsit flash, gt2 front end, ducts and high perf clutch.. around 500+HP hard to find Biarritz White with black interior/red stitching and CF.. I'm loving it, some pics Red seatbelts for additional 5hP..LOL factory CF yummy
  9. Ok here's the update, works great on 99-01.. pics of my 01 on X74 suspension..
  10. wow .... the ride height is awesome... Can you post sound bites, i know there are people here who wants to get them:D have fun...
  11. Took the car to the Dealer and they told me that the upper strut bearing is different, i have to purchase it for $800 so I said no way,LOL so they didnt do it.. Took a '99-01 upper strut bearing for the front, connected it to the X74 bolts right in, no problem.. It's a matter of it's recommended by Porsche or not... the PSS9 coilover has one part for 99-04, should be all the same.. Mine's all assembled, i'm having Sharkwerks install it next week.
  12. Thanks to this forum...for all the DYI info.. installed the following..
  13. Mine will be installed on Monday.. I have an 01 c2...will give you feed back..
  14. No problem man.. glad I sold it to a fellow forum member.. Your car will look and sound great!! love those wheels you have :notworthy:
  15. Hey akpud, thanks.. actually i did the move because of the low price, very happy with the BoxsterS.. i agree with the room meaning 4 seats, but remember the boxster have 2 trunks, the 996 cab only has one:) so that makes up for it.. the 911 has been around for awhile and if you drive a 996 cab, the chassy is very different than the boxster, it's more sturdy and dont hear any weird noise, lol, what i like is the low end torque on the 996 which the boxster lack and high speed cruising on a 996 is a breeze.. but for handling the boxster rule unless youre racing Fangio,LOL.. So if you have the funds to make the move go for it, it's a totally different level of fun... me I have 2 cars, so if this deal didnt come along, i'd be happy with the boxster.. now I have to sell my mod parts that i just bought...yikes!! thanks nick... actually it was nice to meet you at Sharkwerks..You have a nice cab! so how's the pse, ohuh.. :D
  16. Well, monday i checked my work email and saw a message that says 2001 Porsche Carrera 60Kmiles for sale, relocating to Singapore..wth? as soon as I opened it , the email was from a bigwig who knows i like Porsches, hey Alex have you seen this post? saw the price at $35,000.. looked up the guy in the company directory called him...told him if he can get it to Carlsen Porsche to inspect and see it can qualify as CPO,i'd buy the car... the owner agreed to sell to the dealer for $33K, wow.. then i sold the BoxsterS had paid the dealer to certify and do 60k mile maintenance thanks to Gary Quibelan at Carlsen.. he made it happened..pretty stock but I know i wont have problems modding this thing pics below
  17. Hey guys, weird thing happened, my coworker is relocating and offered me his 2001 996 c2 for $33k, i couldnt resist, so I sold the boxS back to the dealer for $27K and had them certified the C2..came out to $35K.. I'll also post this on the for sale section.. I have brand new HR springs from tirerack and the Sport Muffler that I just bought from the ebay german guys...... iwant to get at least $700 for both.. email me if interested...make me an offer Alex_Punsalan@yahoo.com
  18. I just bought the exhaust from this dealer in Ebay from Germany...it's around $500 here's your sound.. http://oettle-autodienst.de/Oettle-BoxsterS-2.wmv ..i havent installed it yet, but i heard good things..
  19. thanks Shash, Yeah I only ordered the OE Sport springs , not the race.. We'll see what i could find, cheapest quote i got was Performance and OE shocks from Sunsetimports theyre in the $900/set... but thinking about the labor rate also, i prob keep the originals for now...
  20. hey guys, Ordered H&R springs , do i have to replace my shocks? looked around fro the cost of the shocks and it's almost going to be same as buying coilovers,LOL Anyone used HR without replacing their oem shocks, btw the car has 51K miles.. Or should I wait until i can afford new shocks :P
  21. thanks Loren, I guess sunset imports parts are really cheap, these were the quote from Jeff Clark :clapping: Front shocks are 204.93 each, rears 190.97 and all are a week away from me to order. Plus up to 30.00 is my guess for shipping, depends on zip code. On quote 18045, thanks, Jeff
  22. hey Guys, Need part number for OEM shocks front and rear for 2002 boxsterS.. I need to compare the price with atermarket bilstein sport shocks.. thanks, Alex
