  1. i already have a 911, trade in is not an option right now cheers for the suggestions
  2. more clarification the camshaft adjustment clerared itself the sump issue it the gasket leaking apparently an easy fix Engine coil packs cracked - how important is it to fix these?
  3. hmm beore i bought this car 8000 miles ago i had a ppi by a opc - nothing came up with the exception of a small leak that would be fixed in the service from experience do i have any recourse with the OPC?
  4. is it possible the leaks could have occurred because the car spent 18 months (with 2 intervals) off the road in a garage?
  5. you have been so helpful do i just phone up OPC and beg for goodwill?
  6. [sorry the car is mine and i am looking to sell it it has been sitting in my garage for 6 months. it has 50,000 miles any advice on how complex it will be to fix?
  7. this is from a PPI on a 97 manual boxster Code 174 camshaft adjustment bank (cleared). Play in N/S/R drop link Rear main oil seal leaking. Intermediate shaft flange leaking. Sump leaking oil. Engine coil packs cracked. Engine oil leak (bank 4-6) requires further investigation. Slight leak from cylinder head 1-3 (requires further investigation) help appreciated in context - the car has been sitting in a garage unused for 6 months
  8. I was referred here by Scouser on Rennlist The back-light for the digital speedo has gone on my boxster instrument pod after my OPC and a specialist telling me it's a sealed unit and i need to buy a whole new pod for several hundred pounds, rennlist came to my rescue only thing now is that i need to know what wattage/part number is needed so i can tell the specialist i would do this fix myself but i am out of the country which makes things tougher these are the potential part numbers that the OPC gave me - 3 watt - 99963130490 1.5 watt - 99963130390 1.2 watt - 99963130290 I would be extremely grateful for any guidance you can give me on the matter car is a 97 manual
