  1. Hi everyone, I own a 965 turbo 3.6 RoW, And I'm interested in the service manual. If someone has a link or can email it, I would really appreciate it. Thanks domingooli@gmail.com
  2. Good Afternoon, I changed the ABS sensor and the PSM & ABS lights turn off. So your advice worked perfectly. But know the 4x4 light is on. What could this be? Thanks for your advice and prompt response.
  3. Thanks for your quick response. I’ll try it and tell you how it worked out
  4. Hi, my 2006 Cayenne V6 gave me today some fault codes, can someone help me with them? Fault code P0503 & 1682 on the durametric scanner, on the dash board it has turned on the ABS & PSM lights. Thanks
  5. Thanks I'll do the sae 30 oil for 200 miles, replace & keep you up to date Thanks!
  6. I think the car had the flu. Today I used it and the engine failure wasn't there. The check engine light didn't turn on. It had all the power it normally has. How can this happen? Now it got me thinking it's better to do what Logray told me in this chat. To use the breakin oil for 200 miles and then replace. I also thought that when I replace the oil I could use a slik 50 lube to see how this works. If all this doesn't work then I'll take the engine down and open cylinder 5. Can anyone give me some feedback on this. Thanks!
  7. I was thinking of getting the engine down and replacing the rings and every part that is worn on cylinder 5. What do you think? Thanks again for your feed back. Having a car like this in this country is not easy we don't have any kind of support
  8. We have to remember that we did the test adding oil to cylinder 5 and the problem disappeared for a little bit. As soon as the oil got burned out the problem came back.
  9. At last we did the leak down test. It hard to give a clear diagnostic. The cylinder that was giving the problems was #5 so we started with this one. The air came out of the oil filler tube & the intake valves. My confusion comes when we did the same test on another cylinder #3 to be precise. And it did the same thing. The compression number we got out of this cylinders on the tests we did a while back were 180psi on #5 and 220psi on #3. This left me with more questions than answers. Could it be the rings? Or a burned valve? What test can I do so we could narrow down the problem? And get my car on the road again! I miss my car! I appreciate all the info you can give me thanks.
  10. We already changed the coils, spark plugs and cleaned all the fuel injectors.
  11. My car is a 2003 996 Carrera 4S with 14.900 miles. It's has a 3.6l engine.
  12. Yesterday we did the test on cylinder 5 adding a little bit of oil and doing the compression test. The psi value went up to 215 psi. But we did the same test like 4 times and the values went from 215 to 190. Could this be the piston rings? Tomorrow we are doing the leakdown test . But I think it's an air leak problem. Give me your feedback on this. Thanks!
  13. What kind of oil do I put in the cylinder to do the compression test? And how much oil do I put on that cylinder?
  14. I havent been able to do the leak down test. But as soon as you start the car it smells a lot like gas. And when I use it, it has lost a lot of power! Does this symptoms tell you something? What could be the problem? I changed coil packs, spark plug & cleaned all the fuel injectors. The next thing to do is the leak down test.
  15. Thanks tomorrow I'll do the test. Keep you informed.
  16. What's the correct way to do a leak down test? And how do I check if there's been a ring seal loss? Pardon all the questions but The only Porsche authorize dealer over here is very bad. Thanks
  17. This car only has 14.900 miles. I only use this car on the weekends!
  18. I checked the compression on the cylinders and this was the result. Cylinder 1: 220 Cylinder 2: 220 Cylinder 3: 220 Cylinder 4: 205 Cylinder 5: 178 Cylinder 6: 210 I'm worried with cylinder 5. How can I solve this issue? I would appreciate all your feedback. Thanks
  19. While I'm doing this I would like to do a compression test on each cylinder. What would be the correct psi values? Does anyone know?
  20. Today im going take out all the fuel injectors and take them to be cleaned. I'm going to make a mark on the injector on cylinder 5 to keep an eye on it. When I put them back in I'll let you know how it worked. Thanks
  21. Yesterday we changed de spark plug & coil pack on cylinder 5. The car still has failure on idle. I did notice that the old spark plug was black on the tip & smelled of gas. Why is this happening? What could be the failure the car is having? I would appreciate all of your feedback.
  22. My car got on the durametric scan two faulty codes. - PO300 Porsche fault code 507 - Misfire detection - PO305 Porsche fault code 513 - Misfire cylinder 5 What could be the problem. Can some one help me with this issue?
  23. Check the coil packs and spark plugs on cylinders 5 and 6. Double check the electrical connectors too. Yes I have already checked the coil packs & spark plugs on cylinders 5 & 6 and they seem to be OK.
  24. I have a C4S 03, and have taken it to the dealer several times for the last 2 years for service because the check engine light turns on and the car docent fail at all. They have changed, all the oxygen sensors, all the spark plugs, all the ignition coils, the ignition wires set. And still the light turns on. The codes it's giving are this PO300 Porsche Fault code 507 misfire detection and PO306 Porsche fault code 509 misfire cylinder 6, this last code changes from cylinder 6 to 5 sometimes. What can I do? The dealer docent have a clue of what to do next, I have told the to call Germany for assistance but I get no answer. :lightbulb:
