  1. Guys, I have been reading about this and it is now really worrying me. Most of what I read however is saying this has been an issue on all porsches since 1999. Most of what I see is the 996 3.4 liter. So i was wondering why are we saying that the 2005 porsche 3.6 is the worst engine?
  2. Bob, What about the rattle you had at the glovebox dash area? Is that still there or do you think it was the sunroof? Thanks, Keith
  3. Guys, Can you tell me what a "MY 2005 VIN" means? My VIN is WP0AA29995S715689. Thanks
  4. I have an 05 coupe and I think I have the exact same problem. Please update if any solutions!
  5. Hey Guys, Does anyone know where to buy a good service manual for the 997's?
  6. RFM, Thanks for the reply I was however wondering what you meant when you said "Most part of the noises are produced by the left and (or) right rear window adjustment system". Do you think the problem is with something other than what's under the headliner? What is the rear window adjustment system? Thanks, Keith
  7. Hey All, Just bought a 2005 997. The car has the alcantada headliner and even with the sunroof closed the headliner (above where rear passangers would sit) makes a crackeling, poping noise almost resembling an electrical sparking noise. When I reach behind my head (about 8 inches behind the sunroof) I can feel what seems to be a cable running across the width of the car and when I put pressure on the cable the crackle, pop seems to stop. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any solutions?
