  1. Does anyone know how to remove the shift gear housing whole console??? I was driving on 3rd gear (i was having fun :) then suddenly the gears gave out, i thought it was the clutch but apperantly it was the shift gear linkage that broke off. I did some research and found out that the shift gear linkage is alluminum and it gets worn out after several years and theirs no way of knowing when it will brake, luckily i was in town when it happen to me. So check your shift gear linkage make sure to have it replace asap before it goes out on you and leave you stranded, it does not cost and better safe than sorry. Anyways does anyone know how to remove the shift gear housing whole console so i can replace the linkage...I need to get back on the road its fun out there with my convertible boxster....thanks in advance... -B
