  1. The only squeak I have is driver door, dealer told me it is normal on convertibles - I still dont think that's a reasonable answer.
  2. That is how all GTS come - they have the wider rear like the GT3 RS and come spaced out with 305 wide rears.
  3. Excellent - this makes me happy. Do you happen to have a deck-lid assembly on the turbo? Specifically how i can detach the top winglet from the bottom main lid. Tekky
  4. Hi Guys, I'm looking for the engine-lid wiring diagrams for - 997 Turbo (2010) - 997.2 Carrera GTS (2012) From the looks of it the connectors are the same but the pin-layout may not be. Also, does anyone have the assembly layout of the turbo wing and how the top wing could be removed to be painted? thanks a bunch Tekky
  5. I have added all the aero-kit to the front, have you read my other posts and could you please answer the questions?
  6. cheers Lauren - that is great! One more request I'm hoping you could help me with... If I get a turbo decklid + wing (997) is there a difference between the cab and coup models and since my car is a wide-body it should fit without problems, am I correct to assume that? Thanks Tekky
  7. Yes those exact parts - I am ordering new ones to paint them black and would like to know how easily they could be swapped. I would probably order the cheapest parts then have my local body shop take care of the paint and would put them in after. Tekky
  8. Hi Lauren, Hope you are in good health; I need a couple of part numbers and if you have any graphics how they could be taken out and replaced: - The light switch surround which is a circular piece about 3-4mm thick that goes around the switch assembly on the right side of the steering wheel on the dash (just the outer surround) - The Shift boot surround which is usually the aluminum piece that matches the cup holder dashboard trim - the piece between the center console and the shift knob leather. thanks in advance Tekky
  9. You do not want to "skim" the rim to get rid of the scratch - send it to a professional to fix it properly and rebalance as per Lauren's post above! I have got none yet, I know it will make me :censored: when that day comes Tekky
  10. Ladies & Gentlemen, The eagle has landed. Photos to follow today! 32km on the dash - gotta work on that! Tekky
  11. Hi guys, A friend of mine recently acquired a set of 997 C2 (narrow body) rims in 19" x 11 rears for his 2001 996 TT. We were told 15mm spacers were needed for rear wheels to fit properly, however after installation the inside of the rear wheels hit. Does anyone know what are the exact or the range of spacers that will work for this fitment? Again 19" wheels off a 997 C2 (235 35-R19 fronts and 295-30-19 rears) Thanks in advance Tekky
  12. Got my VIN# today! :clapping: The machine is on a raft somewhere on the Atlantic. Should see it in a couple of weeks. Will post pics ASAP. Tekky
  13. News: http://www.suncoastparts.com/category/newsPan6.html So they can't be 2011 models, they will be 2012 models and last year for the GTS. Tekky
  14. Definitely go with an OEM short shifter.. nothing will feel/perform the same. See ESS Auto Couture for your clear bra needs. http://www.esscustoms.com/ Tekky
  15. You raise some really good points my friend. Wheel spacers, added to the list. 2011 models are complete, there is no further 2011 production, 2012 are staring in May (now) and I believe the 2012 model is the last year of the GTS; so dont really understand when the 4 GTS has or will come out? I certainly was not provided the option between regular and 4 weeks ago I would definitely consider it Thanks for your comments Tekky
  16. Good eye! It is a must for me. IMO makes the front look way more presenting than the original. Tekky
  17. Early September I'm told. Not trading my c2s, may upgrade that to a 997-2 c4s cab instead something I could whip around during winter months? Tekky
  18. I didn't see the sport Chrono option.. Is that standard? All the best, Phillip Phillip, it is not standard, I have it added as an option... you must have missed it "Sport Chrono Plus". and I still have my C2S cab I'll drive till then :) Tekky
  19. Hi Guys, Just signed and put a downpayment on a July production GTS; moving from a 997-1 2S Cab, info here. Wanted your opinion on whether I should bother with the factory short shifter or not; my other packages include: Full leather interior with Alcantara Automatically dimming int. + ext. mirrors Clear glass tail lights Sport Chrono Plus 19" RS spyder wheels (black) heated seats heated steering sports seats 3 spoke multi function steering wheel in alcantara leather sport seats backrests porsche crest on headrest extended nav, bose, XM GT3 RS front + fender flares best, Tekky
  20. Paul, Did you even read MrPorsche87's rant? When did he speak about a door sill issue? lol :clapping: MrPorsche87, This is unacceptable! I would think its the glue they used to glue it that made the CF do that in the heat - never the less I have personal experience in dealing with Porsche directly and they are very reasonable. Definitely contact them, better yet send them to this post! Tekky
