  1. FWIW, I recently replaced mine - 2003 Carrera cab with this one - also OEM Audi /VW part - it was identical to the one I removed (which appeared to be the original unit with red paint on screws) down to every inscription. Works fine. Is there even one that says Porsche OEM? 2. Here’s the fix for the Navi issue. Porsche sent an email out also with these instructions. Below. I’ve seen battery protection come on after the car sat for a week. Maybe it shuts off features to conserve the battery. http:// https://www.renntech.org/topic/54528-head-unit-pcm-31-cycling-off-and-on-repair/
  3. Absolutely. When I got my IMS solution done last year I researched and found a reputable shop without fixating on a “certified” installer.
  4. Still only one. I suppose many installers don’t bother getting the official certification.
  5. Looks like only one in FL - Fort Myers - according to their website. Maybe it’s outdated.
  6. C: for 2003 the emergency release involves getting power via battery or jumper cables to red extractable terminal located at drivers footwell with spoiler switch. Do you have an owners manual. Detailed there. F: there is a little cut-out in the drivers door bottom rubber gasket for a charging cord to the cig lighter. CTEK makes the OEM Porsche charger of that era - US 3300. There are fancier models. Any battery tender will do https://www.amazon.com/CTEK-56-158-Automatic-Battery-Charger/dp/B000FQBWCY
  7. Don’t know if something similar is available for your unit. https://www.suncoastparts.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=9X6DDIN&Store_Code=P
