  1. Wow. A lot of preparation, but managed to get it out, without spilling any fuel on myself. B) Thanks for pointing me to the Carrera manual.
  2. Heh -- oops. I guess I'm not thrilled about needing to buy another manual for this one step, but thanks for the tip... Chris
  3. Thanks for the response! I've searched the Porsche manual that I have, and I haven't found a reference to it. On what volume/group and page number have you found it? I've been looking mostly in Group 2 (Fuel, exhaust, engine electronics) -- is it somewhere else? Chris
  4. Does anyone have any suggestion on where to look for instructions on removing the fuel tank from a 1999 Boxster 2.5 ? I've searched with google and I've searched here, and haven't come up with anything. Amazingly, the Porsche shop manual also appears to be completely silent on the subject. (It mentions accessing the fuel pump under the battery, but nothing about the tank). From what I can tell, it looks like the front suspension and steering rack all have to come out. The tank looks like it could almost wiggle free without this, but gets hung up and won't budge. Alternatively, if there's a way to detach the filler neck from the tank while it's in place, that might help (but I can't tell how one could ever get any kind of tool in there). Or if there aren't any instructions available, has anyone here dropped the tank out of a Boxster and could give some advice? Many thanks in advance... Chris
