  1. Is the remote reciever under the drivers seat ?
  2. Good point so a code 54 could cause a code 60 in the system can the reciever be re programed?

  4. Thankyou i will ck the fuse the radio works great and it appears to be factory everything else is good i have a durametic but it it has limits in this situation.My key is old but its all i have.This form has helped me with everything else thanks for all the info.

  9. Ok final question a local part store guy thinks i can reset the airbag light by disconnecting the battery if it wasnt on before i removed the seat im hoping someone can shed some light on this cause i cant find anyone around here who has a scanner for this

  11. Will a actron obd ii auto scanner work on the 986 to read and clear codes?
  12. You probably tripped the system pulling the seat. Did you leave the key in or listen to the radio while working on the car? Either can trip the airbag MIL. Unfortunately, unless you own the Durametric software, you will have to take it to a dealer to get the MIL cleared.................. i open the roof to remove the seat darn it
  13. thanks i got the plugs from suncoast in a 6 pack but i will double check
  14. Removed driver seat to insatll and new seat mat repaired and renstalled the seat and the air bag light is on now i removed it again and checked all the connection still on any ideas.
  15. Thanks for all the help with my spark plug issue the coil boot on 2 plugs were loose runs and sounds great but the cel is on now why would a plug remove and replace cause this.
  16. Wouldn't an OBD II scanner pick out which one it is? Thanks will try and find a scanner soon
  17. re fit the rubber boots at least twice but didnt work one side then the other good tip thanks
  18. I don't mean to be funny, but did you set the gap on the plugs. I only say this because you didn't mention it. Kimo rookie mistake didnt ck thanks
  19. CK the coil packs removed and inspected coil connector ck twice reinstalled all plugs tight Thanks for the help will keep looking

Help i just changed plugs in my 2002 986 New plugs came from suncoast it runs rough now i have checked everything twice there appears to be no damage to the wireing not sure what to do now except to reinstall thr old plugs any ideas takeing everthing apart and putting it back twice is alot of work im whipped yhanks
  21. Sometimes i get a grind when i shift from first to second it just doesnt go in smooth all the others gears are fine.I know its not me all the time. i have 106,000 miles on my 986 its a great car but is the clutch starting to go.What do you guys think.
