  1. Missed a shift from 2nd to 3rd this weekend while engaging the clutch to early - result = I ground the gears at around 6,000 rpm. Shifting the rest of the day seemed fine but I can't help but think there must be damage (i.e., metal fragments, etc.) that could damage the gearbox/transmission longer term. I have a 997 GT-3 (Mk I) so I know the gearbox is tougher than a standard 997, but probably not immune to damage from grinding gears. Any suggestions for how to mitigate the situation? Should I change the fluids associated with the transmission (e.g., transmission oil, etc.)? Any ideas or experience appreciated. Thanks.
