the 996 facelift widebody rear

its welded on a 996 but bolted on a 997,ripped it out today and tailgates sitting on ,just need to tack the new panel in and paint although thinking of getting the huge gemaballa rear now :D

Welding and filling and painting. Thanks ,but can it be done the dealer tells me that the support panel underneath is different on coupe ,turbo and gt2. i think it can be changed as its a cover really ,on the 997 its bolted on with 5 bolts. but is bigger than the turbo 996 panel

So if a turbo decklid is longer ,is the panel below the window narrower on a turbo to compensate ?

Does anyone know why my 996 gt2 lid wont fit on my 2002 c4s ,it appears to be to big, is the panel below the window with the brake light in narrower from the window to tailgate on a turbo and gt2.
