  1. Thanks, but I was actually looking for instruction on the removal of the panels. Like from a workshop manual.
  2. Does anyone have the instruction on removing the door panel, specifically the inner panel. I need to access the door latch. I am constantly getting false "open door" alarms when the door is closed. It started periodically last week and is almost always on. Thanks in advance.
  3. So you deleted both cats? How much low end torque do you think you lost? I deleted the cat on my first 944 and i lost so much power off the line that I regretted it.
  4. Hello all, I was fortunate enough to find a front end wrecked Turbo, so I was able to have the OEM hitch, wiring and module stripped. I plan on installing this comming weekend. I also purchased a Durametric tool. My question is programing. Do still need to bring the car to the dealer for programing or does the fault coded just need to be erased/cleared? Soemthing I could do with the Durametric. Thank you
  5. I ran a search to only confuse me. This is my first turbo, and after about 7 months of ownership I would like to mod it. I plan on starting off with a tune, but what about wastegates/diverter or blow off valves? Aside from a tune, what else can I do? I was looking at a tune from Upsolute, any one use them?
  6. Thanks, I am looking into getting my own Durametric. I have something similiar for my M5. Where is the best (cheapest) place to pick one up at?
  7. Just driving along and bam! "Airbag Faulty" indicator appeared. So I have completed the search and read the TSB on 2 possible error codes. It seems to me from reading that this would have been a recall or at least was a known anticapted issue. Is this something the dealership will fix with out charge? I can only imagine the cost if they do charge. Does anyone of late know? The threads I saw were a couple years old. Thanks
  8. Doese anyone know of any porsche or aftermarket product that will automatically retract the side mirrors once the car is parked?
  9. My 04 CTT came with 19" rims and Pirelli Scorpion M/S. I was a the dealership the other day and saw GTS with 21 and Turbo with 22 stock. Did they change the suspension set up to make the ride more comfortable? I have added larger wheels before and my ride comfort always decreased. I use this to haul the family everywhere and especially on long trips..... I actually gave the wife the M5 and I drive this one daily. I don't care what others say, I love this car. My question is for those of you that upgraded to 22/21/20 did the comfortableness decrease? With an air suspension can the car be programed to be more softer to accept the bigger set up. Thanks
  10. I completed my instal of the DVD Armrest monitor. I found the telephone fuse #49 on the right side fuse box is connected to ignition. I will post pictures tomorow. To wire it in I used a fuse extender from radio shack. It is copper and attached to inside of fuse and extends out to a male lead so that you can connect a female connector. I loosed the bolt on fuse box to secure the ground. Everything is neat and professional. For past month I have been using the cigarette lighter adapter that came with it. So glad to have it done, I actually bought a week after I bought the car in July.........6 months later and I am done!
  11. I had some time today to mess with it before getting a new battery, oh and what I was stumped about was why the battery was dead (is it just the battery or battery drain) and why the rear is fully charged and since supposedly it is the one starting the car why it wont start. Well I tried the holding the ignition all the way to the left for a 5 seconds and then starting... nothing. Same with the right But when I held to left, then to center , pull key out, re-insert it started right up no problems. So I guess the aux battery is a back up battery and not used solely for starting the car.
  12. Just my luck, the car wont start again. Front battery dead, rear battery fully charged at 12.4 V and the little BS turn key to left deal didn't work. I am stumped
  13. Well the back battery was fully charged, when I connected it to the front it started the car, although with the other battery out and the rear installed the car would not start. Unfortunately with both batteries fully charged I can't tell if the rear starts the car or the front once both batteries were in.
  14. We went to the drive in theater a couple weeks ago and the Display on turbo is so bright, is there a way to turn display off? Also, and this may be a stupid question, but having the car idle for 2-4hrs for the double feature... is this bad or can damage anything. It will be in the 40'-50's tonight, but I would shoot myself if I did anything like that. I say stupid because I have driven the car for 14 hrs straight, but I don't know if maintaining an idle is different. Thanks
  15. So I took both batteries out. When I tested them the main battery tested a 8v and the rear was strong at 12.7v. On my way to autozone to have the battery charged and tested I called the dealer and he told me that to run it off the aux battery that I would have to turn the key to the left and hold for 5 sec and then the car would switch to running and starting from this battery. He said that it is not automatic and that the aux battery is not soley for start up.
  16. So I will need a #10 spline or triple square to remove seats, but with 2 batterries do I have to replace both batteires or just one. Because one was supposed to be back up so could it have been dead for a while?
  17. So I looked up the code and I have the IJ2C with 2 batteries, which one is dead? I also can't get the tailgate open either and I don't know the size of the bolt to remove the seat bolts.
  18. Last week I lost the "Comfort" menu in my 04 Turbo, this morning I could not unlock the car with the key fob. I had to manually unlock the car, then it acted as if it did not want to start then it started after a second try. I had to run back into the house and shut the car off when "air suspension" fault came up. When I returned (had to lock with the key) the car would not start or crank. The cluster lit up as did the navi. Isn't there suppposed to be a low volt warning for impending battery failure? How can I tell if it is the battery? I have no volt meter or charger to hook it up to.
  19. My key pushed the ignition through the dash. I can't figure out what keeps it place. Help Please, instructions or diagram! Thanks!
  20. Funny -- I just spoke to the dealer about this today -- I was in for other reasons. I have an '04 Cayenne S. Try new batteries in your remotes -- very easy to do then go through the drill of resetting what you want per key. My wife's key keeps her seat and mirror settings (as does mine) but the door open and honk sound always comes back for my key. I can live with it -- as long as the seat and mirrors are fine. The dealer said if I had both keys with me he can reconfigure on his system. I did not have both keys with me and it's not a big enough deal for me to make a return trip. As to your absent menu settings -- when you state, "on my way home" I take it that you were in motion. When the Cayenne is in motion many of the menu settings are intentionally disabled and not seen for safety reasons. Try again with the vehicle in Park/stopped. No it simply disappeared, usually when in motion it is just greyed out so you can not access. My key also has a new battery, this is just weird
  21. I am the primary driver of our Cayenne and when I could not locate my key I used hers. My key was programmed to open all doors, horn + lights for alarm. Hers wasn't so I set hers to those settings. Then my key lost those settings, I did this back and forth. Once I changed the setting for one key the other key went back to just lights for alarm and only driver door opening. Well this morning when I locked the car the horn was absent. On my way home I went to adjust the settings and I lost the "Comfort" selection in the menu. I clicked reset to factory and it did not work. Anyone know what happened and how to get it back on my menu? Thanks
  22. Why rebuild for $500 when $700 all is new, it will require less labor too...wouldn't it?
