  1. I got a yellow air suspension warning light and the duramatic has 1780 code, and a quick visual showed me the bushing to the self leveling sensor failed. I replaced these 10 summers ago, when I didn't need reading glasses and I was much lighter around the waist, LOL. I can't locate instruction on how to replace the sensor. It looks like just two bolts then calibrate. But i would be more comfortable with instructions. Does anyone have a link or the instructions. I think I used the PET manual but that was 5 computers ago and I can not find my file. Thank you
  2. The drivers side mirror no longer retracts/folds, it just makes loud noise while passenger side still functions. I’m looking to replace but is there a difference in mirrors between 955 years or models ? Do all 955 Cayennes come with retractable mirrors? Thx
  3. So my upper radiator was leaking and when I was taking things off to get it I ended up breaking t-section of vacuum hoses that came together underneath the throttle body. Anyone know what it is or the part number to replace? Can I drive it a shop with the hoses not connected? I can't tell if its a coolant vent hose or not I just cant find in a diagram.
  4. The motors have failed in my 04 Turbo. Does anyone know if i am limited to just 03/04 donors or can I use 05+ years. My seat has the battery underneath seat as well. I see many options on Ebay for 05+ that look exactly same as mine but I dont want to chance it. Thx!!!
  5. So I started loosing functions of the driver seat over the past few years, first I lost front tilt and then slowly the back adjustment started getting slower and slower. Well now the fwd/bkwd adjustment went out and the back adjustment, luckily I was the last one to drive it. So I just bought the lower seat track/motor assembly off of eBay. Does anyone have instructions or video link? I figure I can spend my quarantine time working this out.
  6. My cardan shaft blew out again, fist time it was 120K 5 years ago, and now again at 190K. I am sure (aka hoping) the bearing support is all that is bad this time. Last time I just replaced the entire shaft. Has anyone installed the Vertex Auto Cardan Shaft bearing Support Clamp on a Turbo? Mine is a 2004. I went to the original manufacture of the product from EPS European parts solutions and a few people from years back said it didnt fit their 04 & 05. I was wondering if anyone had any success. Thank you CAYENNE DRIVE SHAFT — European Parts Solution WWW.EUROPEANPARTSSOLUTION.COM
  7. This may already be well known info, but I recently had issues with my battery and was contemplating replacing. It was after my car was parked for extended period of time and had issues starting. In short, you can can charge the front driver seat battery via the +/- posts in the engine bay. This will not charge the battery in the trunk. You have to charge this battery separately. What I did this time around was permanently connect a CTEK pigtail with indicator to rear battery. It will show red when low, etc. This will allow to charge/trickle charge the rear batter without having to remove the speaker etc.
  8. Thank you, I appreciate it. Do you know the replacement battery sizes. I know one of them is an H8 group 49. I think that is the one under the seat, not sure.
  9. I have a 2004 Cayenne Turbo and I am away for the week and the wife tells me the car wont start. I have a couple questions i hope someone can help with. First is what are the sizes of the batteries under the seat and the size in the rear. I can't remember which battery I replaced 3 years ago. It was an H8 Group49, but I cant recall if that was the front or back battery. Also, can I tell her to connect the battery charger to the under the hood post to charge the batteries? Will it charge only one or would it charge both? Thanks
  10. I am getting the same sound. Whenever it happens and I quickly hit/release the brakes it goes away.
  11. Anyone use or know if a Volvo XC90 dog gate can be used in the back of our cayennes? I wish Porsche had their own.
  12. I got a roof leak in the passenger rear seat dripping down from the grab handle that is dripping onto the seat. I just recently started parking the car in my driveway as our garage is filled for the time being. The car is parked on a good incline so it would drain from the rear. I did check the front drainage points and they are clear but I dont know where the rear drainage points are. I would like like to check that before I take off the roof rack and re-seal it. thx
  13. There is a weird front end clicking or thumping sound that usually only occurs after driving slow from a stop. It only occurs when the accelerator is pressed and disappears when you let off the accelerator. By accident I found that completely pressing down on the brake pedal will prevent it from happening. I thought it was brakes but I just replaced pads/rotors & it’s still happening. Any thoughts?
  14. My rear drivers side passenger door will unlock via switch or automatically when car shuts off but it will not lock automatically when you start driving or via the lock switch. I have had to start locking manually using key in the door jam area. What brought this to my attention was my kids being able to open the door while all other doors are locked & setting off the alarm. The lights do turn on when car door opens. Has anyone else had this issue & how did you resolve it? Is it possible to repair myself or do I have to take it in.
  15. I am in Florida and with the hurricane coming our way I was just wondering how deep of water could a Cayenne Turbo lifted to max suspension height go through. When going through, is it better to be slow or go fast? What is deepest water you have gone through?
  16. Does anyone know if the rear Brake pads mount kit for a VW Touareg part #: 7L0698269 is compatible with the Porsche Part # 955-352-960-00. I am replacing my brakes pads/rotors and I forgot to order the rear pad mounting hardware. There is no way to order OEM and get by Saturday, but I have a VW dealership near by. Thanks
  17. I was able to install and code the level control module, that error code cleared but now 4 new ones popped up. I now have errors for all 4 level sensors, I hoping that I just need to calibrate. Using the Durametric to calibrate, I get "read error" in the adaptation mode for each. I tried to look up TSB 4316, but I no longer have access to it. Can anyone PM the TSB or provide insight as to why I can't calibrate? Thx
  18. So I was able to locate my manuals & diagnostic codes and determined that the Level control module needs replacing. Luckily it's very easily accessible in the rear right interior panel. I have two questions, does anyone know difference between these two versions of the module- 7l0907553E vs 7l0907553F? I have the E version, but I have seen on eBay the F version for same year & model ('04 Turbo) Also, can the Durametric program/code this module? I know it can calibrate. Thx
  19. Thx, with this car that is the very first thing I look for when things start going wrong. The batteries are both good & all fuses are good as well.
  20. I received a red "Warning Air Suspension" on my '04 CTT. Car appears to be level and at normal height. We are about 70 miles from home and I had hoped it would just go out after a few miles/few restarts. I am unable to adjust height, I don't hear the compressor working or that norma air release after a drive. The ride home did not feel any different, not harsh etc. I connected to my Durametric and the fault code under "Level Control" was: 3 Control module faulty Faulty About 4 years ago I either had the yellow or red warning light, can't remember and I ended up replacing the rear level sensors, but I recall the Durametric giving specific codes for the sensor. Is this code indicating that the actual control module is faulty?
  21. It is possible to change out the seat motors? If so has anyone performed this? The motor that controls the front part of the seat is locked, the rear will still rise and lower but when the front switch is operated the seat doesn't move it just makes a sound.
  22. The change oil or oil service etc indicator has not displayed in my car for over a year or 18,000 miles. Since I have done a lot of cross country driving these past 2 years, I have changed the oil my self more often. It just dawned on me today that I have not seen a warning count down or actually indicator to change oil in forever. It use to be 10K regularly. Could there be a reason it is not being displayed/functioning? Thx
  23. I just replaced both horns last year. Now they or one is out again. Which horn/siren is for when you push the steering wheel buttons? The alarm works fine. Seems like its one thing after another this month. Thank you
