  1. sounds good! which DVD armrest did you get and how difficult was it to install .. DIY? I am planning to do the same on my 05 CS n' would appreciate any instructions that you may have :)
  2. yeah, it was very cold here when it was parked in an indoor open garage but i didn't run over anything and the roads were clear of snow/ice ... so yeah, the globs seem to be still a mystery but good to know its just the washer fluid and i'm guessing that it can be left as it is without much bother and some occasional leak !
  3. Hi - After having my CS 05 parked for 3 days in an inside garage in the cold of Wisconsin and driving ~25 miles home, I noticed a blueish leak from the front driver side, it seems dripping from the front of the tire flap and was sort of an icy ocean blue mix .. there was also a fairly large puddle on the garage floor a little left of the front driver wheels and about 1 foot inside of the front bumper. The liquid has a clear blue color to it but is very watery and has no smell to it (pic below) .. what could it be? I am thinking either the washer fluid or the pentosin P/S fluid or the dreaded coolant?? I checked all fluid levels and everything is the same as before and there are no warning msgs ... also, I did fill up the P/S fluid a few weeks back (and slightly over filled above the max mark!!), I also have PASM anyone saw something like this before??
  4. Additional details on why the engine was replaced - there as knocking noise on the left side of the engine and there was a high leakage on cylinder 5 and the walls were scorn
  5. thanks mudman2. Valid point on the engine - the local porsche dealer replaced it since there were vibrations (that's the reason they gave me) .. the warranty expired in dec 08 and the engine was replaced in July 09 and I'm told that it was a new engine that they put in and was covered by Porsche warranty (it did concern me as to why porsche will cover it after warranty has expired?) .. it is a local car with abt 45k miles with 2 previous owners and at least from outside/inside looks to be clean and the gear shift happens to be smooth on road/hwy It does have new tires/brakes replaced recently at 35k (not sure if that's another indication of it being thrashed in the past) re: the rear diff locks, yes I think thats an option however the error message for "all wheel drive system faulty" did show up at least on low range ... any additional comments are welcome! thanks
  6. Hello, I was planning on picking up a 2005 Cayenne S however during the pickup inspection, I noticed that the rear differential lock is not getting engaged using the rocker switch. I am able to engage Low Range (and LED lights up and message is displayed on the disply) and also Center Differential lock is getting fully engaged, however even after pushing the rocker switch forward multiple times does not engage the rear differential locks. On the instrument panel, I also get the yellow sign for "All-wheel drive system faulty". Is this something I need to worry about? From what I can recall, the message on the instrument panel was only when I put it on low range. This cayenne also has air suspension height adjustment and that seems to work fine. It is automatic transmission. The seller (a local dealer) said they will take it to the porsche dealership .. but not sure if all they will do is reset the computer?? Also, the engine was fully replaced by the porsche dealership less than a 500 miles back. Any help will be really appreciated!! I am planning to make the purchase this week (hopefully!! ) Thank you.
