  1. I broke the plastic in front of the front wheel. I bashed it on a road bump. It looks as if the plastic itself was torn. 1. can anyone tell me what is it's use (looks like an aerodynamic part / air diverter to the breaks / water away from front tiers ?) 2. I'm planning to glue it with a warm-glue-gun. I could see the two screws on the back of the part (visible in the pictures) but I could not see what is holding it on the front side (I would not like to pull it if there is a screw holding it, not to break it more than I did) help anyone ?
  2. thanks a lot for your help and explanations guys. I will check it as you recommended. Yaniv
  3. thanks for your reply. what is a break dust shield ? how does it look ? where is it positioned ? (so I will know what to look for) thanks again Yaniv
  4. can you hear this metallic grinding sound ?? (not the exhaust sound) is that normal ??? Never heard it from inside the car, but it was quite loud from the outside. it was heard during this left turn. not sure that it was in all turns. HELP ???? car_noise.wmv
  5. NEW PSM : when off, will engage only on two front wheels lockup when in sport mode - will engage later than usual !! :drive: I want that new PSM software. any chance it is possible to rewrite the PSM software on my boxster S (my2004). anyone did anything like this before ? thanks Yaniv
  6. without sounding stupid - what is the differnce between struts and sway bar ???
  7. Hey guys, I need to make to final decisions about my boxster: The options are: 1. 550 special edition – dark gray leather interior (or brown???) 2. boxster S – savanna beige interior The stuff I’m banging my head on, is: 1. 550 comes with lowered & stiffen suspension (-10mm). I’m going to get 18” carreras anyway – so I don’t know how much harsher would the ride be with this option. It might be that most of the “stiffness” would be as a result of the 18”, and the suspension is not that big a deal. But – I’m in the dark here……it might just be the other way around. 2. Savanna beige interior – how much punishment will it suffer? Bottom line is that it is bright color leather. I wouldn’t want to find myself a few years from now with stains or discoloration of all sorts. Any one of you has Savanna beige interior for several years – and can tell me how it holds ? 3. does anyone knows if the "modified gear lever and quiccker shift -15% less travel" in the 550 edition is the same as the one you talked about afew days ago ? is it the same as B&M quick shift ? The 550 edition is about 6.5% cheaper than the other boxster S option – but when it comes to it, if the savanna beige is a tough cookie, and the lowered suspension would make the ride too harsh – I still might go for the pricier ‘regular’ S. HELP I need to finalize my order – as the 550 option will not wait for me “forever” Thanks Yaniv
