  1. Hi all-

This car has a tow hitch and was told by the dealer that the sensor is "off to the side."  Does any one have tips for getting this to work?  I haven't gotten it to work at all.  Tried standing directly behind and also off to the right.  I tried bringing my foot back quickly as noted but still no success.  The setting is correct in the car display.

  2. 2006 Cayenne S.

I've just experienced the lights of the steering wheel going dead a few moments after turning on the headlights.  After turning off the car and re-starting, the same problem occurs (lights come on with headlights initially but then shut off).  The two on/off buttons behind the steering wheel have no effect after the lights go dead (but do work when the steering wheel lights are functioning).  Short somewhere?  Any thoughts please?

    Thank you

  3. One more data point... 2006 CS. Battery changed last month. Spontaneous "System Error..." message. Lost Nav, Amp, Phone. Tooki Satellite Radio and Bluetooth had been installed years ago. I temporally associated this error message with wife's plugging lactation pump into cigarette lighter and then losing power to central lighter sockets the day before.

Replaced fuse #1 at left panel. And... problem solved! Thanks to others who have contributed here!

  4. I recently came back from 60K servicing of a 2006 Cayenne S and found this black plastic piece not put back into position... I would go back to the dealer but it's a longish drive just for this.

Anyone available to help ID this cover (?) and where it goes? I looked deep into the foot spaces in the front and back but could not identify a location.

    Here are pictures

    Thank you

  5. No. This diagram refers to an outside spare wheel.

I am asking about the black plastic splined knob that is used to turn the bolt on the collapsible spare wheel stored under the cargo space. The owner's manual called it, "rotary knob" on page 313 of the manual. Its resting position is in the center of this smaller spare.

(I typed page 325 earlier. My mistake.)
