    to remove the front bumper on a stock 996TT. I went a biz trip this week and noticed a ton of bugs and debris stuck in the radiators, it's impossible to get it all out with a hose. I am sure removing the bumper would enable me to properly clean the radiators. If you know of an easy way, let me know. Cheers, Ben

    Sorry Paul, unfortunately I am not going to pull it all apart again to take pics....not sure how well they would come out anyway. It's an easy job once you get the back headliner down...it will all become clear. Sorry mate. Cheers, ben

    God...this was pissing me off, so is I decided to pull down the headliner at the back and investigate where these noises could be coming from. The main culprit is the piece of plastic that comes back with the sunroof itself, it runs from left to right, the full width of the sunroof. While I was driving I could usually put my hand back on the roof liner and stop it from rattling when the roof was open. I simply installed a strip of 1/4' thick x 3/4" wide self adhesive sponge rubber tape alone the full length of this plastic channel. I also double up a piece right in the middle of this channel as it hangs down the lowest at that point. Also when you look at where the sunrrof comes all the way back you will notice how two pieces of plastic can come in contact with the steel roof so I put a couple of felt pads on the steel roof section. I also installed small self adhesive felt pads about the size of a dime at each of the pionts where the rear part of the headline clips into the metal channels. All of these simple fixes mean my sunroof does not rattle at all, I tested it up to 125 MPH...not that you can hear much at that speed anyway.... : ) Also fixed a slight clicking noise in the drivers side door panel by pryed open the door panel where the door lock is and put in some more the of the foam tape.....fixed! Hope this helps others with this annoying problem. Cheers, Ben

    Hi Loren, Did the front diff oil change today with Swepco 201 80-90 gear oil. I drained 1.5 liters out...so your DIY write-up is correct. Thanks for the help. Ben

    Will do Loren......had to order another gallon today so it won't be here till next Thursday, I will report back accordingly on the quantity used.

    Loren, Thanks so much...I guess I did not look far enough into your original DIY manual tranny section....Sorry. BTW: I assume the front diff uses the same oil as the factory tranny fill so I can use the Swepco 201 in there too?...your thoughts please This is such a great site, thanks for all the effort you have put into it.     Does anybody kindly have a write up on the proceedure to change the front differential oil. I just did the manual transmission oil change on my 02 TT and would like to do the front now. I am changing all the fluids as I am the second owner, its more for piece of mind. The car has just 14k kilometers on it..not much I know, but I like working on my new car. I just have this and the rad fluid change to do then I am done. I would like to thank the person involved in doing the write up for the tranny change, excellent in every detail. In fact all the info and write up's are superb! FYI, I used just shy of a gallon container of Swepco 201 80-90 gear oil as from my research on the web, it was the best oil to use, even the P dealer uses it. Thanks again, Ben
