  1. Hi, My battery died and the code from my dealer (based on the VIN) won't work. Becker CDR-220 Model # 4362 Serial # X5019890 Thanks much!
  2. My 01 C4 does the same thing occasionally. Try going to second then first. I have found that works 99% of the time.
  3. I am just wondering if anyone has a specific recommendation about tire size for an 01 C4 running 17x9 wheels rear and 17x7 wheels front. Also, I am planning on purchasing mich pilot sports. They seem to get pretty high ratings from what I can find.
  4. Hey guys, I am looking to go from 19" TSW wheels to a set of 18" wheels. I found several on eBay but want to make sure they are a worthy investment. I found a set of BSA 215s that are 18x11 in the rear and 18x8 in front. I intend to use these as my road/track days wheels for my 2001 C4. Is there a better size for this particular car, or is this appropriate? Also, anyone know anything (good or bad) about BSA wheels? Thanks.
  5. Hi, I need to change my front and rear brakes (pads and rotars according to the local Porsche dealer that did a recent service). My dad and I have a car shop with a lift so I plan to do it myself. Although I lifelong fan of Porsche I have limited technical knowledge. I purchased a 2001 C4 in January. My question is what do I need to do a full change for the brakes. Any help is much appreciated.
  6. Thanks for the recommendations. I bought the car with yokohama advans on 19" rims. These are a z rated tire and I have been told that they will be fine until I have more experience. You were right as I am looking to do my first event in the next 6 weeks. The tires have plenty of tread so I am planning for tires for the next season (next summer here in WI). Thanks agian.
  7. I currently own a 01 C4 and will be doing some high speed track events but no racing. I am wondering about what tire size and type is recommended for autocross and high speed road courses (Road America, Elkhart Lake, WI). Is there a good tire and wheel size that would allow me to do both safely? These would be track tires only.
