  1. Hello,

I only wanted the Gearbox oil to be changed this time and i would say it took 1 hour approx totally with them driving in and out from the workshop.

I cant say i notice any difference in performance, it is more "a piece of mind" thing i would say.

The mechanic said the fluid looked nice and Clean and didnt not smell burnt or anything, i did not Watch all the time

but went in the work shop to have a look underneath the car and if i am changing the gear oil again i Think i will do it myself.

The PDK Clutch fluid i will change next year when the car is going in for a major service.

  2. I have had the car since new and put all the mileage on it,

I noticed a whistling sound when Engine was warm maybe a month ago and

have read som other threads regarding this (rennlist) and Porsche listened today and

they also Think it is the waterpump. Does not seem very common on this new Engine.

It does not leak any fluid so thats good.

  3. Thanks JFP,

I have a 997 S / PDK and think it to long for first oil change with 12 years / 120 K miles.

I have seen that procedure in the 2009 Technik Service information book,

Is PIWIS needed for the (PTX) gear oil change also, Shouldn´t that be more or less a drain and

refill procedure ? I can have it done att dealer but qurios if it would be possible to change out just the

    gearoil easily.

  4. Hello,

I had that problem on my Boxster 2008 (CDr 24) and i tried to

remove the fuse and that helped for a while.

But a Porsche tech told me to remove the Minus battery cabel and leave

it off for ten minutes end then put ut back on the battery...

and i have never had the radio problem since

    Best Regards,

  5. Hello !

    I have a Boxster S 08´ I have recentley noticed an issue

with the driverside window not sealing corrcetly against the seal

with window and top Closed...there is obviusly wind coming from

there while driving the car at normal speeds.

I assume that this is adjustable ?

Is there anyone here that have this issue and maybe a´ DIY solution ?

I suppose this is a warranty fix ?

    Thank´s / Best Regards !

That is a warranty fix. There is an adjustment that can be made without removing the door panel. It involves accessing the torx screw that acts on the clamp supporting the window glass, one if front, one at the rear. The access is from underneath the door, by removing two of the four rubber plugs that you will find under there.

Do a search here for a post that shows the arrangement of the plugs and which ones to remove, with photos, etc...

    Regards, Maurice.

Ok,Thank you very much that was a very quick and good answer !

I will take it to the dealer while it´s under warranty, this is a problem they

should fix pretty easy then dont you think...

Is there any good advise regarding the lubricating / maintanance

of the mechanical movemenst of the top ?

Or vill the every other year service at the porsche dealer take care of it ?

I am taking very godd care of the car in regards to the paintwork and the oil filter stuff..

    Thanks / Best Regards
