  1. My speedometer on my 02 C2 Cab hit 292 KMHs on a long private stretch (flat)....this equates to 181 MPH which is a couple of MPHs faster than what the specs say are the limit. I have heard that Porsche speedometers read liberally, does anyone know how "liberally"? I have had the opportunity to do this on more than one occasion and I must admit it doesn't suck. After a second, and a deep breath it is amazing how things "slow down". Your senses adjust accordingly....   2. It is an 02 C2. No new mods...The flaps are cool, thanks for all your effort on this. I have read every concievable link on this site regarding top malfunctions and what seems strange is except for the low fluid levels everyone seems to have just a slightly different issue with slightly different symptoms...DWPC's idea about the overheated motors sounds like an answer, now I just need to figure out which %^$*#(@ one it is :) Anyone have any idea before I just start replacing em' all?   3. Guys, really need your help!! Wross, thanks I checked and it did not fix the issue. I have determined that the muted click occurs on a 2 second count...It is coming from directly behind the driver's side rear seat, the area that contains the relay switchs and such. Is there a specific fuse/switch/relay that is attributable to this issue? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....
  4. I had three sets of cats replaced in the past 4 1/2 years. the first two were covered under warranty. What I had a problem with was after the second set went the dealership would not do the work under warranty. I stated that the warranty should reset each time they were swapped out, they stuck to the warranty guides...makes no sense. The cost I was quoted for a the repair with OEM parts were $2100 all in.   5. my 2002 C2's enginge blew two years ago and was replaced under the extended warranty. It was replaced with a new 05 engine. Please tell me I am would be safe to assume they replaced it with the updated version that they are replacing these other ones with...My car is now out of warranty...which brings uo another question, when I asked if this new engine came with a warranty I was told no...is this correct?
  6. 2002 996 Guys, hope you can help. I am having a problem with my top that similar threads have addressed yet with some minor differences which seem to be pointing to a different kind of fix. (I have already topped up the hydrolic fluid by follwing the process in one of the treads...excellent instruction). Steps: A.) Either by the key or the rocker switch the top starts to open and and completes the close but the lid does not finish it's closing.
