  1. Good to know....thanks guys for your input
  2. Anyone know if the current wiring in a 2000 2.7L 986 will work "as is" with replacing the lights with the Litronic lights? OR, does one have to buy a wiring harness to connect them? BTW - I'm not talking about the bulbs, but the whole assembly; left and right side Thanks, Will
  3. probably the fuse. I had the same problem. BTW, mine now blows a fuse every time I adjust the seat While leaning back in the seat. I've gone through 5 fuses. Finally, I found that if I lean forward I can adjust the seat without blowing the fuse. I guess the load on the motor is too much or something. Good Luck
  4. Hey Gus, I just looked up the confirmation and it shows DELIVERED. Check it out. Label/Receipt Number: 0307 3330 0001 3789 7954 Status: Delivered Your item was delivered at 10:30 AM on January 25, 2008 in JERSEY CITY, NJ 07310. You can go to USPS.COM and put in the Label/Receipt Number (above). Take Care, Will
  5. Gus, take a look at this. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...=console+delete it shows the brackets. All you need is a Phillips screw driver and perhaps a butter knife to pop off the face plate.
  6. Hey Gus, The brackets I'm sending you just "pop" in place. they just clip on the sides and allows you to then screw in the a/c assembly. I wish i took pics when I did mine, but believe me....it is VERY easy. The brackets go on only one way. the cables just need to be pulled from back and routed to the top. As Loren stated, it's been covered a lot here in the forums. Some one might have some pics. -Will
  7. sounds good. I hope it all works out. I'll be on the look out for your msg. -Will
  8. actually, I do. do you want to check to make sure that part number I gave you is going to work on your car. the brackets came out of my '00 2.7L let me know what you want to do. If you do want them, send me your address. -Will
  9. part number 996.573.501.00 I still have mine from when I moved my a/c to the bottom console. If it turns out you need them and/or you can't find any I'll be happy to give you mine. just pay for the shipping. let me know. -Will Capp
  10. I did the opposite. I added the cup holders and moved my A/C to the bottom. It was really simple. One caveat. you may need to have the a/c brackets for the upper console. 1. pop off the front face plate of the cup holder (butter knife works well) 2. unscrew the cup holder assembly (4 screws on mine) 3. slide out cup holder assembly 4. remove the left and right brackets (mine pop out) 5. pop off face plate to a/c 6. unscrew a/c assembly (mine had 2 screws) 7. slide out a/c assembly part way 8. disconnect the 4 wire modules (they are different colors. I used a small flat-blade screw driver to press down on the top of the wire module to slide them out) 9. thread the a/c cables behind the lower console to the upper console. (this could be tricky, but just follow the cables and slowly slide them through. 10. put in the a/c brackets for the upper console (mine just snap in place) 11. slide in a/c assembly 12. connect wire modules 13. screw in a/c assembly 14. pop on the a/c face plate. I hope that helps. Good Luck!!!
  11. How do you find these articles???!!!???? I do searches all the time and get tons of lists or nothing pertaining to what I need. Maybe I'm just not searching the way I need to. Thanks for the link. That sheds some light on the picture. I guess mine was removed and a third-party actuator for my DEI Viper alarm system. I guess now I know that plug has to do with the trunk actuator and nothing to do with the spoiler....which leaves me with still unanswered questions about the spoiler. Thanks again TP!!!
  12. I'm trying to troubleshoot this thing and I have another question... When the spoiler goes down does it make any clicking noises when it reaches the end of it's travel? Is there some part that limits travel of the spoiler or tells it to stop applying power to it because it has reached it's lowered position? Any help would be great!!! -Will
  13. Anyone have a pic of the Bowden cable with Servo motor unit? I have a drawing of it from the Bentley, but it looks like a potato1 :o Thanks!! BTW - its 4A on 55-19 of the Bentley (for 2000)
  14. Will: From the diagram that Loren posted at 8:32 p.m. on your "Rear Spoiler Comes Up at Speed" thread, it looks like the mystery connector is the one that goes to the "Tailgate Opener", as that one in the diagram shows the exact wire colors that you describe (i.e., a red wire, and a blue wire with a black stripe). What do you think? Regards, Maurice. yeah, that's it. THANKS!! I didn't see the colors denoted on the schematic. Thanks again! -Will
