  1. Anyone know if the current wiring in a 2000 2.7L 986 will work "as is" with replacing the lights with the Litronic lights?

OR, does one have to buy a wiring harness to connect them?

BTW - I'm not talking about the bulbs, but the whole assembly; left and right side

    Thanks,

    Will

  2. probably the fuse. I had the same problem.

BTW, mine now blows a fuse every time I adjust the seat While leaning back in the seat. I've gone through 5 fuses. Finally, I found that if I lean forward I can adjust the seat without blowing the fuse.

I guess the load on the motor is too much or something.

    Good Luck

  3. Hey Gus,

I just looked up the confirmation and it shows DELIVERED.

    Check it out.

    Label/Receipt Number: 0307 3330 0001 3789 7954

    Status: Delivered

Your item was delivered at 10:30 AM on January 25, 2008 in JERSEY CITY, NJ 07310.

You can go to USPS.COM and put in the Label/Receipt Number (above).

    Take Care,

    Will

  4. Hey Gus,

The brackets I'm sending you just "pop" in place. they just clip on the sides and allows you to then screw in the a/c assembly. I wish i took pics when I did mine, but believe me....it is VERY easy.

The brackets go on only one way. the cables just need to be pulled from back and routed to the top.

As Loren stated, it's been covered a lot here in the forums. Some one might have some pics.

  5. I did the opposite. I added the cup holders and moved my A/C to the bottom.

It was really simple. One caveat. you may need to have the a/c brackets for the upper console.

    1. pop off the front face plate of the cup holder (butter knife works well)

    2. unscrew the cup holder assembly (4 screws on mine)

    3. slide out cup holder assembly

    4. remove the left and right brackets (mine pop out)

    5. pop off face plate to a/c

    6. unscrew a/c assembly (mine had 2 screws)

    7. slide out a/c assembly part way

    8. disconnect the 4 wire modules (they are different colors. I used a small flat-blade screw driver to press down on the top of the wire module to slide them out)

    9. thread the a/c cables behind the lower console to the upper console. (this could be tricky, but just follow the cables and slowly slide them through.

    10. put in the a/c brackets for the upper console (mine just snap in place)

    11. slide in a/c assembly

    12. connect wire modules

    13. screw in a/c assembly

    14. pop on the a/c face plate.

I hope that helps. Good Luck!!!

  6. How do you find these articles???!!!????

I do searches all the time and get tons of lists or nothing pertaining to what I need. Maybe I'm just not searching the way I need to.

Thanks for the link. That sheds some light on the picture.

I guess mine was removed and a third-party actuator for my DEI Viper alarm system.

I guess now I know that plug has to do with the trunk actuator and nothing to do with the spoiler....which leaves me with still unanswered questions about the spoiler.

    Thanks again TP!!!

  7. Yeah, I should have included that.

one is red and the other Blue with Black stripe

    Will:

From the diagram that Loren posted at 8:32 p.m. on your "Rear Spoiler Comes Up at Speed" thread, it looks like the mystery connector is the one that goes to the "Tailgate Opener", as that one in the diagram shows the exact wire colors that you describe (i.e., a red wire, and a blue wire with a black stripe).

    What do you think?

    Regards, Maurice.

yeah, that's it. THANKS!! I didn't see the colors denoted on the schematic.

    Thanks again!

  8. I found these codes on a website. I'm not sure if anyone has seen these, but I thought I would post them

I tried them last night and it worked.

    This works on 1997-2000 boxsters.

    To access diagnostics:

Hold down the Recirculating & Air up buttons for 5 seconds. The + - buttons go up and down through the list of "c" codes. The center vent button switches the left display between the "c" code and its actual value. Press the Auto button to exit.

I have yet to verify all these, this info was copied from wonderful people on PPBB!

Here is a list of what can be seen:

    0c - ERL

    1c - Oil Temp?

2c - Inside temp. Sensor mounted in the aspirator assembly at the side of the dash.

3c - Outside temp. Sensor located inside the air inlet of the A/C unit.

4c - Outside temp. Sensor located in front grill of the radiator. The data is fed to the Climatronic from the instrument cluster. When not moving, the instrument cluster OBC temp display retains it's last setting until moving. This is to prevent heat emanating from the radiator affecting the temperature sensor. The A/C unit uses the lower of the two outside air temp values in determining fresh-air temp.

5c - Outside temp. (matches with OBC outside temp display)

    6c - Coolant temp.

    7c - Footwell discharge temp.

8c - Sun sensor (dash top)

    9c - Sun sensor.

10c - Passenger compartment fan speed.

11c - Passenger compartment fan voltage.

    12c - Temperature mix Flap command 1=COLD, 100=HOT

13c - Temperature mix Flap position

    14c - Central Flap command

    15c - Central Flap position

    16c - Footwell/Defrost Flap command

    17c - Footwell/Defrost Flap position

    18c - Recirculation Valve command 1=OFF, 100=RECIRC

19c - Recirculation Valve position (feedback)

20c - Vehicle speed in kph, updating only once per second. (real speed, not speed+safety margin as in the speedometer)

21c - Engine RPM in hundreds. This too only updates once per second.

    22c - ?

    23c - ?

24c - Sun sensor, exterior lights switch & panel lights control (term. 58 & 58d voltage) - used for A/C panel display illum.

    25c - ?

    26c - ?

    27c - ?

    28c - Fan speed?

    29c - ?

    30c - Engine run time in seconds (255 max.)(=0xff)

    31c - Timing counter

    32c - Displays test

    33c - Software version? Mine states 3.4

    34c - ?

35c - Outside temp. from inlet sensor (filtered?)

    36c - temp?

  9. alright...I tested it out.

I went for a drive today. The light went out on the dash and when I got up to speed the spoiler popped out. At below 55 it retracted. All normal

    EXCEPT?

When I went for another drive and the light stayed on and the spoiler popped up but did not retract.

Does anyone think that this is from a faulty relay, wire or plug?

I looked at the wiring diagram last night and noticed that there was something about "Tailgate open" which is numbered N86.

Anyone know what this is for? OR if could this be part of the issue I'm having?

  10. Hey Maurice,

I checked out that relay this evening. I pulled several out actually because they are difficult to get out....but anyway.

The leads look immaculate - no corrosion. I also put an Ohm meter on that particular relay. since there was a schematic on

relay I checked for opens and shorts where appropriate. It appears fine. I reseated the relay, but have yet to test...It's late

BTW - there is a bundle of wires that go into a 2-piece plug. The top piece has 2 wires - I found out this goes to the trunk light. The second piece of the plug was the piece that was previously disconnected and appears to be for the spoiler.

However, there is a third 2-pair cables that goes to a connector that has plus sign (+) type of shapes on the end of the connector - as in looking at the plug's end. I wish my camera worked.

I'm not sure what this is supposed to be plugged into. It is just lying there and I can't find anything needing the male end of a connector.

Anyway, that's where I am at. I'll test drive tomorrow and check the light and the auto-retract of the spoiler.

    Thanks,

    Will

BTW - It is connector B02A24 - See Below
