  1. I replaced the crankshaft position sensor in 2011, problem went away and never came back. :D
  2. I had this exact problem on my '99 Boxster, it would start normally and then 5min later it fail to start and just crank. After searching on various forums I thought it is a failed stuck fuel pump so I went ahead and put in a new pump and replaced the fuel pump relay, it didn't fix the problem. Recently it seem to get worst (occur 1-2 times a month at the beginning to now it happen 1 out of 5 time I start the car hot or warm). My next step is to put in a new CPS but want to see is there anyway I can further verify the problem before I order a new CPS? Thanks
  3. Did you notice a big different after you add more negative camber on the front? What is the alignment specs after the adjustment? Does anyone know what's the stock alignment specs on Boxster?
  4. Thanks for the advice! I will try cleaning both the throttle body and the idle valve first before I order a new idle valve.
  5. Looks like a short shift kit is way to go... :) Anyone had experience with the generic short shift kit sold on ebay? I just did a search, the ebay shifter kit are half the price of the B&M kit. I wonder are there any different beside the brand name. Thx
  6. I apologize for the duplicate post. I found I should post on the DIY section after I post here... Is it usually the ball socket that wears out or the shifter linkage? Right now my shifter is loose like my 911SC... <_< Thanks!
  7. Had anyone tried DIY on replacing the shifter linkage? My shifter is very loose, I search on previous posts alot of people install a short shift kit and it solved the problem. I don't really want a short shift kit on my car, can I just replace the linkage itself? If so, is it differicult to replace? I appreciate if someone can provide instructions or diagram. :) Thank you, Tim
  8. I got a 1999 Boxster, everytime when I had the A/C turn on, the car will stall at stop light. If I rev the engine in neutual when the A/C is on, when the rpm comes back down it will drop below 600rpm and stall. I've read the DIY section about cleaning the throttle body, but my mechanic told me I probably need a new idle control valve because it control the idle when the A/C is on. Anyone experience this before and what is the possible cause? Thank you! Tim
  9. I am having same problem on my shifter. If I don't want to install a short shift kit, can I just replace the shifter linkage? Thx
