  1. +1 to all the responses. PDK is not for everyone, but in town, as a daily drive it has learnt my driving style. It's so easy to flick the sport mode switch and be reminded of just how hard this car is. Then the sport-plus mode and strap yourself to the missile. I was a 100% manual tansmission kinda guy, wasn't even pdk-curious, but I'm very sold now.
  2. The iPod interface in my Audi S5 was better. It supported all the levels of shuffle, charged any iPod, and scrolled a long list of tracks by letter without delay. I also dare to say the B&O sound was better than the Bose. That will start some arguements.....
  3. Just discovered this in my new car. Have put an old iPod in to see if it is the case. Local service centre knew nothing....
  4. I was told it modulates the ignition timing just prior to the downshift in D mode. I doesn't do it in M mode. BTW - it's fascinating watching the PDK learn in D mode. Iit gets better day by day.
  5. Opted myself for a new AU spec 911S with M/F & PASM/Sports Chrono Plus. Seriously, without PASM they are a great drive day to day and on the Brisbane roads with the PASM in sport mode it rides fine. The M/F controls are what I'm used to, and they are really only for scrolling the music IMHO. The PCM controls are for LHD cars so volume/options tend to be on the left side of screen. What price convenience?
