I have a 2004 Base Boxster. I noticed last night that when I pull the signal light lever I can "flash" my hi beam and the blue light shows up on the instrument cluster and the hi beams come on. Accordingly it would seem the hi beams work and there is nothing wrong with indicator light. However when I push the lever into the permanent hi beam light on position, the hi beams do not turn on and there is no hi beam light on the instrument cluster. Any ideas as to what might be wrong? Is it likely I have a problem with the control stalk?

In one of the boxster sites someone mentioned dyeing or maybe bleaching the ambers and that this is discussed at some of the import sites. I was wondering if anyone here has done that? Does anyone have a link to any pictures pre and post. I can only assume that I misunderstood the post as I had never seen this mentioned before and with all the talk about ambers vs clears I would have seen someone mention this. Thx
