I recently purchased a 964 with a leaky power steering system. I like the idea of converting it to manual steering due to the simplicity and reduced weight. I've gotten some input on rebuilding the stock rack or replacing it with the 993 rack. I may end up going down one of these paths, but something still intrigues me about switching over to a manual steering setup. I've heard of guys doing it. Can anyone shed more light on how it is done or what is needed? Is there a block off/bypass available or would I need to install a new rack? Any links to tutorials, other forum posts, or the parts needed would be most helpful. Thanks! Kyle

I am looking at a 78 911 SC that is sort of an off-white/creme/yellowish color. Does anyone know the color name or code of this car? Does anyone know where I can find a list of colors/codes by year? Thanks! Kyle Johnston
