I wish Porsche or some aftermarket outfit, would come out with a cool Porsche Racing car cover like they announced for the Corvette: http://www.stingrayforums.com/forum/stingray-corvette-discussions/11401-c7-r-special-edition-car-cover-picture.html Basically, when on the car, the cover is printed such that it makes it look like a racing spec vehicle...

Up in the center vanity light console that houses the latch for the top, there are 2 smoked plastic lens covers for the infrared sensors for the security system. I'm missing the drivers side lens. Any ideas on where to find a replacement or how to find the part number for it? I guess I need to call my local dealer? Any other suggestions? thanks.

Ya, but $100 for it is a bit steep... that's why I was hoping to get a scan of stock 1998 which would match up pretty close to mine. Anyone willing to make a scan of their window sticker? If you want to block out the VIN and dealer info, that's fine. thanks. -
Does anyone know where I can get a scanned image of an original 1998 dealer window sticker? Even if the VIN is blacked out, that would be fine. I'd like to include a sample as part of the paperwork / articles I have collected for my car. Thanks in advance!

After a quick search, it appears having the light on at start and for it to go out after driving a few feet is normal operation: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...l=spoiler+light PK2... the spoiler is supposed to raise at 70 mph... so, either you have fault, or, some owners had done a mod to illuminate the light whenever the spoiler was raised, so that you knew it was up. Not sure how you can check if you have the mod or not... have you searched?

you might want to take a digital picture of your car and then play around with different colors using Photoshop or some other paint program.

Ah, ya I guess the picture in the light does kind of look like the spoiler. I mistook it for the trunk. So, that is normal operation? It's kind of annoying... oh well. thanks!

After starting up my 1998 Boxster, the open hood / trunk indicator light stays on. After I begin to drive a little bit, it goes out. Does that mean I have some faulty sensors? I searched but couldn't find any suggestions on how to fix. Any ideas? Thanks!
