  1. Thanks, i'm glad you found it usefull. Yeah I had to order a couple of clips, but I already had a couple missing so that wasn't a problem.
  2. well, i had to glue everything back together, hope it stays on. had little trouble with the bottom brackets but hope i did them right...
  3. Need help, again... There are 2 clips at the bottom of the backrest cover, they both broke on my 05 cayenne turbo. Also, there are 3 plastic peices and 3 metal clips higher up that attach to the frame of the seat, i might need them too. Is there a special glue that attaches the plastic peices to the back cover? It got unglued and don't know if there is some special glue available. Thanks, and I attached some pictures cause it's kinda hard for me to explain. Thanks again!!!
  4. thanks medtech, you just saved me some money :notworthy: !! i just replaced the rear, and they were extremely easy
  5. i should receive mine today, but will probably swap them out tomorrow, thanks for the writeup, i'm sure this will make it much easier :thankyou:
  6. awesome man :notworthy: , good deal, i plan on doing the air filter and bypass, but i'm waiting till after my baby is born
  7. wow, that would've been helpful... i just installed the bracket on my 05 ctt, but i pre-drilled the holes for the bracket, wish i hadn't done it because i drilled a hole in the wrong place  ... well, in the end it worked out.. also, i installed the bracket upsidedown (on purpose, got that idea somewhere though...), it looks better, doesn't cover up the grille, and it's still pretty strong...
  8. Found it :jump: searched all over the place, but I found it. Thanks for the time you put into helping me. :thankyou: 955 572 710 00
  9. Nope, but we're almost there... They hold down the side (plastic) covers. Ok, I took a picture of one of the few reamining ones I have. Now if I loose this one, my Cayenne is going to start falling apart... lol
  10. Sorry for the confusion, I'm referring to the actual bolts/fasteners that tie down the engine covers. Not the covers nor the trim. I found this pictures, it is the bolt being removed. Hey, thanks for bearing with me on this one.
  11. I got these pictures online (Cayenne looks newer than mine), but the bolts I'm referring to look the same. Thanks for the quick respond.
  12. Hi Loren, I can't find the engine cover fasteners anywhere. Lost a couple when I changed the air filter. I think they are also called quarter-turn fasteners or turnlock fasteners. They secure the engine bay covers in place. Can you please provide me with a part number. Also, what is the part number for a licence plate support/bracket for a 2005 Cayenne Turbo. I think it is different than a Cayenne S due to the front bumper. Thank you in advance for your help.
  13. 2005 Cayenne Turbo Air Filter Change I recently changed my air filter on my 2005 Cayenne Turbo, and here's is how I went about. It took a while, but not bad considering I had no idea how to do it. I saw another article here on air filter change, but the problem is that on a Turbo, the air goes from the air filter to the turbots and then to the intake (vs. from the air filter straight to the intake on a regular V8), meaning the plumbing is not the same. I believe this is will also work on a Cayenne S, but I'm not 100% sure. Couple Author is.deleon Category Cayenne (9PA, 9PA1) - Maintenance Submitted 04/03/2010 06:54 PM
  14. I recently changed my air filter on my 2005 Cayenne Turbo, and here's is how I went about. Couple of the tools I used was a T30 and ratchet, a Phillips screwdriver, and a dime... The dime and the screwdriver were to remove the engine bay covers. Be careful not too loose any of the fasteners (I did...). After removing the covers, you will need the T30 to rotate the following pins. There are four in total, two for each side. You will need to rotate them so that they point towards the mark. As shown in the following pictures. Then you will need to pull them out, I used a screwdriver, but pliers would have probably worked better. They will not come out unless aligned, and here's why. You will need to pop-off two clips on top of the air filter cover. From there you can disconnect the air filter cover from the tubing and pull it up and out, but only on the driver's side, the passenger side will need a few more steps. You will now have access to the driver side air filter, remove and replace. Now to the passenger's side. The only additional step is to disconnect an air hose, but be very careful not to break anything here. First, I separated the connection into two parts. I moved the green part towards the front of the car with a flat screwdriver. Then carefully pulled the rest of the connection and hose out, towards the back of the car. Again, be careful but persuasive. From there, you can repeat the same steps as the other side. You will then have access to the passenger's side air filter. Remove and replace. The last part is to put everything back how it was. Just retract your steps and you will be fine. Make sure you rotate the pins back to their original position, so they won't come out. I hope this was helpful, good luck with your small project and hope everything works out. If you want to point out something I missed, or have a way of improving or easing the removal process, please let me know, we will all benefit from it. Oh, and does anybody know where I can order the clips for the engine bay covers... I need about 10... I just learned that the hose on the passenger's side is for Cayennes equipped with air suspension (someone correct me if I'm wrong), which will make the job easier for others. Oh, and this is what happens when you can't remove an air filter and go a little crazy...
