  1. Any suggestions on tires your using that are a better value for the money. Pilots are too pricey this time around. Thanks
  2. Can anyone help me a few questions on these products. I purchased a front bumper, had it shipped to be prepped from MaShaw then shipped to be wrapped in car color and now it is to be installed by third party. Installer called me as he hasnt seen it, if it is pre drilled for compatabiltiy with install points of stock bumper? I havent seen it, cant get in touch with MaShaw at this late hour and have install scheduled for A.M. tomorrow. does anyone know if it is ready from Ma shaw to be bolted on with of course minor adjustments? thanks.
  3. So it is a stock or standard knob. do i still need to remove or pry horshoe piece up as i am not looking for set screws? Do some have set screws stock and some not? thank you
  4. Thank you Loren is removing the shift boot covered anywhere?
  5. Anyone have a simple method to remove shift knob ? thought it came out with some spinning and pulling, looked for torx screws, none. Please tell me I dont need to removed the entire console, please!
  6. thank you.. picutres dont do justice, it is truly matte in its finish and has a very intresting finish. Very happy with the look
  7. I am considering H&R coil overs for my car. I have 19's on it and my concern is that this set up dosent have dampening adjustments. I dont want anything to stiff and dont want to purchased PSS10's becuase of cost. Anyone running these currently and can comment on ride and comfort etc? Thank you
  8. Im looking for some coil overs. PSS10 out of my budget, had some H&R's, not dampening adjustable and to stiff. Looking at these as they are reasonable and have dampening adjustment. Anyone using these currrently? If so, any feedback would be appreiciated. I have ROW suspension currently and like it but not height adjustable also, quick tutorial on how to post pictures of my car on site? just had it wrapped in Matte Green and would like to share it with you all. thanks Steve
  9. Thanks Wross, i dont think i have this system. can i send you a picutre. I dont have adjustment screws on top, i dont know if those stay connected after install but nonetheless, i dont have them. Is there a version prior to PSS9's that you know of?
  10. Purchased a used Tech Art for my car. Anyone help me find install instructions? I think its a the generation prior to "Vario" model. Lots of numbers on it, none that have lead me to find instructions Appreciate any insight.
  11. I have had a 03 and currently a 01 996 TT. both were bullet proof and in total have owned both for 7 years. I still find myself asking entry level questions as i never needed to do anything out of the ordinary to either over course of ownership. I think they are a great value to perfromance ratio and wouldnt hesitate buying either with higher miles after consulting this forum. I drive my car not nearly enough but when I do i drive it hard and it never disappoints..
  12. loren, Ive never disconnected battery before. When i do to get checked what can i expect to happen to my car? I will need radio code? Anything else I need to be prepared for or do prior to removal? Thank you
  13. My car has been a little slow to turn over. Sat for a while and it has been cold lately so thought it might be the cause. Noticed batttery gauge showing below 14 volts which it commonly reads. The needle is moving when I press on gas and hasnt returned to 14 in two weeks. Battery is new, lights dont seem to be diming when on and starting or stopping. Any quick way to check charging system or part outside of chargin system that might be failing? Should I check battery first to see if its gone bad? Anyone's ideas appreciated.
  14. That was awesome, Thanks Ross. Its now in perfect position.
  15. My sunroof isnt closing flush when retracted. Can i adjust the way it sits with the 4 openings that are around the roof? If so, can someone tell me how to do it? Thanks.
  16. any update? I have 19's on my car, always felt like car is loose in front but have no frame of reference as I never have owned a AWD porsche. I just posted a question regarding shocks and questions on how to diagnose if shocks are done and if there is a mount or braket that would be worn and cause a knocking noise in rear over moderate bumps.
  17. Can anyone tell me if there is a mount or bushing etc that if is bad would create a knocking noise in rear when hitting moderate bumps in the road? Also, how can i tell if i need new rear shocks? they seem stable up and down but not sure how many miles on them as I purchased a "ROW" suspension 3-4 years ago and couldnt get a quote on mileage on shocks and springs. Thanks Steve
  18. Thanks Ross I want to just upgrade clutch, i dont want to get into the flywheel etc. I can manage the power increase and make clutch last and like feel of stock clutch. With that being said I cant find anyone who will give me info on just clutch without trying to sell me a fly wheel and more. Who is Kevin and what is his company? Thank you
  19. Looking for advice on clutch replacement please MY 2001 TT I at 23500 miles and my clutch slipped today when I was driving hard. I am prepared but wanted some advice on replacement. My car has ecu "flash" with exhaust-DV and Boost hoses its running around 525hp plus, very reliable. I like the feel of stock clutch especially since replacing accumulator last year. However, looking for something that might handle the horse power and last longer then stock might considering upgrades. I dont launch my car, drive it harder in corners than straight line. Can I put a GT clutch on car without changing fly wheel. Do lighten fly wheels create issue with normal shifting or make noise from tranny? Simply want to make a moderate reliable upgrade, maintain stock clutch feel. Thanks
  20. thank you. It is in fact necessary to bleed brakes afterwards? do you have a brand name of S/S to purchase? thanks again. Steve
  21. I want to put S/S brake lines on MY2001 turbo coupe. I think it will add to the my pleasure but concerned I might have a "code" issue considering the brake sensors or whatever else. Havent ever got into brake work on this car before. Any thoughts? Thank you
  22. Solid! thanks Loren. I can never find these things on my own.
