  1. Check the wires beneath the airbag on steering wheel; mine had frayed and came loose. I spliced a new connector and was good to go.
  2. My horn issue ended up being the wire beneath the air bag on steering wheel. It had frayed at the connector and was hanging loose. I simply spliced a new connector and all was fixed.
  3. My 03 996 TT has the following issues: 1. Horn sometimes works sometimes doesn't. No issues going over bumps etc 2. Airbag failure light recently came on but I believe it is my fault, I had drivers side seat out as I was doing some under dash work unrelated to the horn. I plan to check connections etc for the airbag Q. can these bushing also be the cause of intermittent horn operation? Q. is it possibly my clock spring is malfunctioning causing horn and now airbag light? Any other recommendations? Thanks in advance.
