  1. I installed the Fabspeed MaxFlo in Januaury 2010. Installation was moderately difficult. The most difficult part was getting the tips to line up. I'll admit that when I first drove the car after installing the system, I was happy with the sound. But.... a few weeks later, I found myself annoyed by the drone in the 2200 – 2800 rpm range. I decided to extend the tips out to see if that would help. Much to my surprise there WAS a slight improvement in drone loudness. This is despite the fact that there is very little range to extend the tip. The extension totaled about ¼ of an inch. The drone did not go away, but it was less intrusive, but still annoying. The tips that come with the Fabspeed MaxFlo system are 3" long. I decided to purchase 5" tips made by 3A Racing. The OD of the pipe is 2 3/8", which limits what tips that can be used without adding adapters. These were the only tips that would fit the 2 3/8" pipe. The 3A racing tips extend 2" beyond the body, which is not visually appealing, but it did solve the drone noise that would come into th cabin. For me this is a compromise between aesthetics and solving the issue of the drone getting into the cabin. If you find that the "drone" is a bit much, you can try the tips at a cost of $29.98 for 2. I purchased mine from Advance Auto Parts.
