  1. can anyone help please according to my maual when removing the battery i have to switch off the engine and all electrical loads. so i removed the ignition key, then i disconnected the earth cable and then the live cable but after a few seconds the alarm whent off and the only way to stop it was to reconnect the cables then insert the ignition key turn on the ignition, then turn it off again remove the ignition key and press the fob.the only way i can avoid the alarm going off is to disconect and reconnect the battery is with the ignition on but i have been told this could cause something to short out. has anyone else had this problem? thanks in advance for any tips.
