  1. Are 1999 996 C2 headlights interchangeable with 986 headlights of the same year? I want to find a clear headlight and get rid of the amber. I wanted to expand my search for used ones and I thought if they were the same I could look for those. What year did the 996 go to all clear headlight or was that an option?
  2. I appreciate the advice. I found a used one and I thought I would try to change it, but that is allot of work.
  3. Will a 996 turbo bumper (996 505 311 05 PP EPOM T20) fit my 1999 996 C2? Will my lights work with it? any alterations?
  4. What is that on your engine?

  5. It shows $269.99. A little off from $135, now. High price!
  6. Can someone tell me if this is the original engine in my 1999 911 C2 M96\0166X10223
  7. I appreciate the advice. I have never driven a cayman, but I do no I do not like the boxster. I really love the 911 and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about a IMS upgrade? With 92,000 on my is it worth the money to get it done?
  8. I have a 1999 Porsche C2 Tiptronic with 92,000 miles. I am interested in getting into a little newer and more dependable model. What would be better? A 2007-2008 Cayman or a 2002-2004 911 C2? My budget would be around $30,000. I figure trade-in on the 1999 would be around $17,000 (long way from original $67,000)! I need some advice from the experienced. Thanks
  9. Is your car still doing good?

  10. I wanted to see if you still make the subwoofer boxes.

    Thanks

  11. What about the Softronic reflash. It is $895 for 22 hp. Is that even noticeable? Does anyone have any experience with this?
  12. I have a 996 C2 and was wondering if anyone has added a turbo or supercharger to one. I can't afford a factory turbo, but would like to add some performance to it. I am actually disappointed with the acceleration (new: $73,000). I have to say my friends Mazda 6 (new: $21,000) is faster at 0 to 80 and they don't cost near what a Porsche does. I will say the 911 will out handle the Mazda, but there are allot faster cars out there for a whole lot less money!
  13. I like the turbo conversion. What kit did you use and where did you get it. It looks great!

  14. 90,000 Have to replace my torque converter soon. What stinks is how over priced the parts are!
  15. I appreciate the advice. So the conclusion is that I can drop just the transmission on 1999 996 C2 with tiptronic to change the torque converter. Am I correct? Also, I have to do this on jack stands because I don't have access to a lift. Any advice on what to drop the transmission on (jack or dolly?) Thanks
  16. I appreciate the advice. That sounds like a whole bunch of work.
  17. I know this may sound stupid but I am trying to save money and I don't have access to a lift? I need to replace my torque converter on my 99 996. Does anyone know if I can drop the transmission enough to do the replacement if the car is on JACK STANDS?
