  1. Thanks, That explains why the dealer told me it wouldn't fit. They ordered the lower shelf & tried to fit it in the upper location. The lower shelf in your pic is where my AC control unit is located.
  2. Are both the upper & lower shelves located between the radio & AC control unit?
  3. Sorry Loren, I'll only post here. They had me order a 996-552-243-01-01C, which is 1 digit different than your recommendation. The only thing between the radio and the AC control unit is the cd storage unit. I would only have one shelf unless the unit you're referring to has 2 shelves built into it. Mike
  4. I have a 2001 996 and would like to replace the cd storage unit with an open shelf. The dealer ordered an open shelf from Porsche, but told me it didn't fit well in the dash. Any other ideas?
