  1. Have a 2001 C4 Cab - how long can I leave the hard top installed before it causes problems with the canvas top? Thanks. Bill Richardson 2001 996 C4 Convertible 6-speed
  2. How do I access the engine air filter on a 2012 base Cayenne? Thanks. Bill
  3. My CDR has what looks like a charging battery icon with a red line thru it displayed in the lower left corner of the touchscreen display. Can't find any mention of this in the CRD manual. Anyone know what it is indicating?
  4. Yes, it's a 2007 S. Just drivers side occupied.
  5. Seat belt light has started to come on randomly. Air bag light stays off. Durametric shows no error codes. Noticed also that sometimes pass indicator for air bag on/off is sometimes on / sometimes off. Thoughts? Thanks, Bill 2007 Boxster S
  6. Black_box - can you supply info regarding aftermarket sensors?
  7. Have 2007 Boxster S which came from the factory with Caymen S wheels. Should it have wheel spacers? Thanks. Bill
  8. 987 is new to me and I have a 986 as well so will need to get used to where I post. Shop is an Indy where I bought the car so its still on their dime. If the pass side shows sensors does it stand to reason that the dash receiver is ok?
  9. Weird problem with both drivers side TPC sensors. Getting indicator light on dash. System Learning message has been displayed for a while. Dash display shows pressures for both passenger side tires but nothing for drivers side. Shop says computer shows no fault codes and insists the sensors are fine else fault code would show. Anyone have any thoughts? 2007 Boxster S. 6spd Manual
  10. Where can i get a service manual for the 987 Boxster? Thanks.
  11. Thanks. Are these codes available anywhere like the ones for OBDII?
  12. Durametric is showing the following codes: Left door module - 8017 and 8018 What are these? Thanks 2007 Boxster S, 6 speed.
  13. Just bought a 2007 Boxster S - came from factory with optional 18" Caymen wheels. Drove it about 20 miles and it's displaying "TPC inactive" on the dash display. Don't recall display showing "Learning". Believe this is probably the most the car has been driven since the fall - sat on dealer showroom floor thru winter. Will read the manual tomorrow but does anyone have any further suggestions on what the issue is? If it's a sensor how do I tell which one it is? I have Durametric tool. Thanks. Bill
  14. Pulled out the passanger seat with no problem. Drivers seat has an additional black plastic box attached to it that has 2 plugs on it. In the attached pictures can you tell me how to pull out the white plug? Thanks, Bill
  15. That's what I thought but wanted to be sure. Thanks!
  16. Have new buckles and looking at the manual for removing the seats it says to disconnect the battery first and then move the seats back/forth to get to the 4 bolts holding down each seat. My car has power seats - how do I move the seats with no battery? Am I right in assuming that I can un bolt the seats and then disconnect the battery? Thanks.
  17. Side question - Am I reading the VIN rane correctly in the TBS? My VIN is 980XU62xxxx. Am I correct that my VIN falls between 986WU62xxxx and 982YU62xxxx?
  18. Thanks for the info. BTW - is ther anyway to print the TSB's you have posted? When I try and print one it askis me for a password. This is on a Mac.
  19. Is there anyway to tell if the TSB has been done in the past?
  20. Pulling into parking lot at work Friday morning my airbag warning light turned on. Running Durametric I read the folloing faults: Airbag B05 ========= 3 Supply Voltage 45 Belt Buckle, Driver Suggestions for fix? Thanks, Bill Richardson 1999 2.5L Boxster 5 speed
  21. Any thoughts on what could cause it to blow?
  22. Turned out to be fuse C3. What could cause this fuse to blow?
  23. Tried to set my alarm today - 1999 Boxster 2.5 - and I get double cherps. No lights flash and the sensor at the base of the windshield stays dark. Noticed a couple of other things: 1) no interior lights when door open - top is down and windows are up. 2) tried to raise top and windows do not drop as normal 3) windows do not respond to window switches 4) windows do drop when door opens Used durametric and get the following alarm error codes: 34: Interior sensor faulty 60: Central locking limit position Lock not reached 58: Tank serve motor not energised despite relay activation Any thoughts? Thanks, Bill
  24. Is there any one of the sensors more prone to fail than the others? What is the lower ware thickness on the pads? Thanks.
