    Hope that some knows the answer to this, just found out that i only have the m490 4 channel amp, and i bought rear speakers, but i am not able to hear them as my amp (standard nokia) does not have the connection.. what i want to try is revert back from the amp and hook up all the speakers to my becker cascade pro .. anyone done this? where are the speaker cables? dont seem to find any, all wires go to the amp or do i need to cut the and rout them back?? Options - suggestions - other advice why don't or do it are very welcome ..

    did the swap today from a 2001 boxster to mine, took me 1 hour, the only thing what was tricky was the dooropener, mine are apparently the older types,..had to modify it a a little but all is good now, thanks Loren for your help!

    I thought you can also do the hack with a switch in the dashboard instead of removing the wheel, has anyone done this? i.e. is there a guide which wires to connect where?

    If anyone needs something i am willing to buy it for you he has about 200 porsches there .. i am only not doing big things as i cannot take it away with me but for small things i might be able to help you ... Ahh good one! .. will they fit without problems (brakes) are they bigger then the normal ones? Also, the "S" models began in 2000, not 1998. Just FYI.

    Thank you, i will go for the aftermarket set then :) what is your experince with the NOKIA amplifier my car has it build in, i bought the Becker cascade pro 7941 which already has 4 x 35 watt output .. is the Nokia amplifier ok or should i re-route the wiring and start using the speaker out jack from the Becker?

    Went to the scrapyard today for new door panels and i can get some nice ones of a 2001 boxster, they guy told me aswell that had some doorspeakers from bose ( complete units) for sale aswell 75 dollars each, question is this worth the upgrade ? are the boses much better than the standard (nokia's) or shall i go for another (aftermarket) set of speakers.. I think the ones i have now ( standards) really s.u.c.k .. Regards,

    hmm .. would it fit Loren or do you advise not to go there ? any chance you find a manual how to remove the door trims, i have found a few links but they are not of them working anymore?

    Guys, i am going to the scrap yard tommorow as they have 2 911's there new arrived.. i wondering does anyone know if a 2000 911 panels will fit the 986 from 97? also i wondering for a site where you can find how to remove and replace the panels... any ideas or tips please shoot..

    I just bought H7 SMD LEDS"s for 4 $ and used my foglight as DRL's (hooked up relay 12 to fuse 7) looks way better and very cheap mod!

    Guys I found out that a new scrap yard has been openend nearby my house, i was wondering what i should take to upgrade my boxster with (standard edition), I already drove there once and got a alu shifter and handbreak handle but what are more good upgrades to get of the scrap cars? which might not be easy to see ? or what i will overlook whilst i am there? there are 16 boxsters there from 1997 to 2002 and 3 boxster S from 1998 to 2001 ... any help or suggestions are welcome.

    Did the swap overnight, all looked good, only the weirdest thing happend that now my car beeps when i lock it (?), does anyone has a idea why this is the case? the dash is from a 2000 boxster S, my car is a 1997 boxster (normal) could that be an issue perhaps?

    Hi guys, I bid on ebay on a boxster s (6 gauges) dashboard van 2000 ( 986.641.113.00 EOD ) which i by suprise won! no i am only curious if this will work in my boxster ( 5 gauges ) from 1997 2.5 ? Does anyone has the answer to this?

    Hi Thanks for your reaction, is this also for my boxster from 1997? My dealer claims it was only introduced (auto window closure) on later boxsters 986's not on the 1997 ones?

    Guys does this also work on a 1997 boxster, my dealer says that when I open my roof the window drop but don't go to the previous position when its fully open or closed, they always stay open a little and I have to close them myself manually? is this correct on a boxster 2.5 from 1997?

    Hello all, I recently bought a boxster 2.5i (986) from 1997, I wonder if its normal that the windows only go down when you open the hood but no go back to the closed/previous position? Also I wonder if it's possible to program that the doors close automatically when you drive away? Thank you for your response / reaction(s) :-)

    Hello all, question can you modify to upgrade halogeen w/o projector lensen to halogeen projector lensen by only upgrading the lens? or do you need to buy the entire unit?
