  1. Leave Carrera emblem or replace with 911 ? I'm thinking about removing the Carrera badge/emblem and replace it with 911 (matte black as well) Do you guys have pictures of the ones with 911 emblems?
  2. Yes I know. But I'm trying to see if you can get if from somewhere... like online store. Do you have a picture of the real one by any chance?
  3. Does anyone know where I can get [ RUF ] license plates The style is a black Euro plates with silver RUF on it. I've seen it on their cars. Anyone have pictures or info of how to get this? Thanks guys!
  4. I just ordered mine from Fabspeed. Email them for dyno results or search.
  5. I thought Porsche forums are more of adult, mature people. I was wrong, I wish you can say that in person. Simple question... As a matter of fact this is a good question. GT3 2 seater, Carrera 4 seater. Same car but one has 2 seats one has 4 seats. If the toll consider it 2 seater carpool. Do you get my point?
  6. Quick question guys. I'm running a muffler bypass and I'm thinking about putting a Cat bypass as well. My question is, will it be noticeably louder? Or will it be close as the muffler bypass sound? Thanks guys!
  7. I'm looking to print some and make a poster. Does anyone know a good site to get some good 996 wall papers?
  8. I'm curious if we are consider 2 seater carpool? Because GT3 doesn't have seats in the back and if the Carrera's back seats has been taken off. I live in California and I'm aware of the toll fee of $5 and $2.50 for carpool with Fastrack. I'm wondering if I take out the back seat will it be consider a 2 seater carpool? I've done this with my 350z which is a 2 seater.
  9. Here is what it sounds like from inside my race car: Fabspeed X-pipe cat delete. The sound is phenomenal, but if you don't wear ear plugs you will ruin your hearing. I'm serious. Racers complain that my car is too loud. What other mods do you have as far as exhaust and intake?
  10. This DIY is for 99-01 996 Litronic Xenon headlamps/headlights Unlock your headlights by using the tool key (female allen wrench) on the side. Use manuals for help. Unscrew these 2 screws then pull the white box out of the way. Once the white box is out of the way you can see behind the projectors. There should be (3) star bit screws (T-20 with security hole) Make sure to mark the (TOP) just so you don't get confused when you put it back together. Unscrew 4 star bits around the projectors Clear coat it then bake for 15 mins at 250 degrees then wait the next day to wet sand and buff. Wet sand all around until everything looks dull. Use this 3M products Mothers ball polisher after compound Compound (by hand) then polish (with mothers ball) Crystal clear finish. Factory lens with frosty finish Factory lens with clear coat and buffed finish ***NOTE*** This particular picture is not a Porsche projector. I'm showing a RX330 lens with FROST/ROUGH finish. That's why the cut off line isn't sharp on some factory lens. Only some comes factory clear such as TSX S2000 300ZX and some other cars.... ENJOY!

  12. I need opinion on which cat deletes I should get. I'm leaning towards Fabspeed x pipes. Yes I am aware of the following: - Will be too loud - Will not pass smog - Will throw CEL (w/o simulator) - Will not gain much HP/TQ on N/A
  13. Yes, you can...but why..?? Because I plan to put a (crystal clear lens) to replace the factory rough/fuzzy/frosty finish lens. It will create a fine cut line for the xenon projectors. Here are the differences Factory lens Crystal clear lens Here's the link of DIY (some clear coat it, some replace it with crystal clear lens) http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=44888&highlight=fresnel+clear
  14. I'm curious if you can unscrew/disassemble the projector lens from the back of the headlight with out prying open the whole headlight assembly. Thanks ! 996 MKI Litronics
  15. I know, if it comes back on then I'll have to replace it.
  16. I was wondering if this other end of the tube should be plug to something or is it an exit bypass? Thanks in advance.
  17. I sprayed pretty much all over but the green tape cover for the harness. I let it dry.
  18. Thanks. I'm thinking about painting my calipers red. Is there a thread about that here?
  19. I'm curious if 996 ever came with factory (yellow) brakes besides the GT3. I always see black or red.
  20. So basically you spray the whole thing? Or is there something I should cover ?
  21. How do you actually clean it? Just spray it or do you actually spray and wipe it?
