  1. hi Guys - I'm 90% of the way through the auto dimming interior mirror install, and have hit a problem; Can anyone point me to where weld point 21 is ? Looking at the TSB, it seems easy to locate, under the left hand (driver LHD) seat. unfortunately, I can't seem to locate it ! My car is an 2002 facelift C2, Tip (UK RHD). I've checked under both seats, but cant seem to locate it. Any other points I can pick up the back up light signal from ? TIA David
  2. I'll let you know when I've done it ! mine's going in an 02 C2 this week Loren - thanks for fixing the problem David
  3. I may be dumb - but when I open the TSB for the interor mirror install, I get one for a conv top latch replacement ! can anyone point me in the right direction for the correct TSb & get the database corected ? thanks David
  4. Thanks Loren - that should do me ! the X74 kit turned up today - 2 days from order confirmation to arrival home, shipping from Belgium - impressive ! David
  5. Hi Guys. I have an X74 kit turning up in the next couple of days from Gert for my 01 facelift C2 tip coupe. Is there a 'this is how you fit it' guide any where to be had ? I'm specifically looking for thing like bolt torque settings, essential parts that must be changed (i.e. like strut mounts, new bolts etc) ? I'm doing the work myself, but would assume that a re-alignement is required afterwards (car is freshly aligned one moth ago) any first hand experience would be appreciated ! thanks in advance David
  6. my guess ? noise pickup from the speaker wiring. Do you have stock or aftermarket speakers ? Mine does it too, but only after re-locating the crossover for the speakers in a different location. If I move the crossover around, I can change / reduce the noise. David
  7. Alan you can get a washer kit - try somewhere like Porschapart in Lancashire. They are knowledgeable on litronics. I bought mine from there - but I did fit my own self level system tho. but, it is only a 10 min job to change back to halogen for the yearly MOT. David
  8. Hi all Does anyone have the part number for the 3 x retaining pins for the rear bootlid spoiler, my2001. They are the plastic rivets. Thanks David
  9. Jackie - I've routed cables same as you require to do - if you want help, PM me. I can take photos if it helps. David
  10. try here for a start http://www.9mracing.co.uk/html/modules.php...t%20Information
  11. Tool Pants - I've found the part number - had to dissassemble the whole assembly to work out what bits went where. It's the aluminum bracket that bolts to the triangle on the door, with the spigot to allow the mirror to rotate, and the wires to pass through from the mirror to the multi connector. The spigot is the part that broke due to over-rotation of the mirror. Local parts dealer wants £100 ($160) ! I've had a go @ fixing it - slighlty reamed out the spigot, and inserted an aluminium sleeve, all held in place with industrial epoxy. Its curing in an oven now. If it works, all well & good - and I'm not out of pocket. If it doesn't, I'll have to cough up for the new part. David
  12. Hi All - 1st post - so be gentle ! Does anyone know the part number for the cast aluminium bracket that the external right hand side mirror fastens to ? It's the part on the car door triangle, not the mirror itself. I have a photo if it helps. Thanks David (need to be more careful when reversing into the garage...)
