  1. I ended up at the dealer today and they were able to clear the airbag error with the piwis. The tire pressure sensor is working and the check engine and psm were also cleared. By the time I drove out of the garage the check engine was back on and the psm failure was back. The tech. told me there was a communication error with the convenience module. After driving for a while the psm failure would go away and then come back and repeat. The tech said it was OK to drive as long as the Check engine did not flash. He also said I would have to bring the car back and they would need to search for the cause. Sounds expensive. To recode the airbag module $195.00.
  2. I think he only has the durametric, I will see if I can hunt down one of the others. Thanks
  3. I have recently repaired a 2008 cayman that was totaled with left side damage. The drivers air bag also deployed. I replaced the air bag computer, clock spring, bag and steering wheel wiring harness. I took the car to an independent service shop to clear the lights and he is having trouble. We have a flashing air bag light, a PSM failure light and the TPS is not working. My mechanic told me the air bag according to the duremetric was OK, but the individual components were not communicating with each other. I did start and move the car with out the air bag installed. Any ideas ?
