  4. Have the CEL on today and checked with the scanner its the P1531, which suggested to be the Bank I camshaft sensor or what ever it is. It was raining very hard today, may be the water has caused the wiring some fault., cleared the code hope it won't come back on when it drys. How serious is this problem? ... and if any suggestion on replacing any of the parts would be helpful too ., thanks guys! tim
  5. I have installed at least 10 Navi system for myself and friends in varies cars. I never need to put the antenna outside the car. you should consider putting it back inside because it ruin the look of your car. Btw, I have 10% tint on all windows except front windshield if someone gonna say the window BLOCK the signal

  7. That is exactly what I want to accomplish ,, ignore the after cat o2 so that I can put in a 100 cell cat or a bypass pipe

  9. Never heard the belt slip, but I am at 65k haven't get a chance to replace the belt yet.. will do it when I get time Yeah, could be in mtimmy's case. In mine i had brand new belt (as part of service) and new tensioner (they thought that was the issue). I was never convinced and always suspected the alternator, 'shorting' out when damp/wet, as NO belt slippage was ever heard, which is very obvious when it does. Maybe he has ALL those issues??
  10. Same thing for me ,. after a 3 days rain. i parked it on the street without moving it once during the 3 days. started the car., voltage reads 0VOLT for around 10 seconds before it catch up to 10Volt then for another 10 second it goes up to 14V
  11. I am sure its not the muffler,. because I upgraded it It could be one of your mufflers, this was the perfect excuse for me to buy a new exhaust system.

Have a 99 C2 manual 65k miles... the car rattles at idle,... the rattle goes away when the engine rev up to 1k rpm or above... and it do not rattle during driving nor in gears... the engine idle perfectly fine. any one have the same problem I am suspecting may be engine mount or flywheel warped.... btw., clutch do not slip...

Loren, can you please check the part no. and list price for the top plate for the right front suspension C2 top mount plate for me , I happen to break one of the screw while I torque it... it is the plate that goes to the top of the suspension with 3 screws going over the frame holding the suspension in place to the car...

  16. Annoying sqeek sound when pressing in the clutch., for sure it sound like the rubber is not lubricated enough. will WD40 work?... or need some special so called PORSCHE high tech thing
  17. My 99 C2 smells too, for sure its not coolant.... .,.. it just the kind of engine smell. from driving... its weird.. but its there. Thanks - there is definitely no leak from the expansion tank - apparently this car is on its third tank, the latest being the upgraded version - does that make sense? Thanks - this does make sense - Makes me wonder how quickly the P Zero's are wearing away...
  18. ITs time for me to replace my too., I have the workshop manual from porsche.,.., would it be possible to change it myself, .... it don't seem that hard... except dropping the transmission while the car is on a stand.....
