  1. Hey guys,

Got back my 2001 Boxster S from the indy mechanic today, overall they've done a good job getting this puppy running well again.

Unfortunately they disconnected the battery to put on an alternator pulley and accessory belt idler pulley so now I need the radio code

    CDR 220

    Becker 1

    type 4462

    Serial # y5048180

Also after you enter the code do you have to press anything special or just the code, I used to have a miata that required pushing some stuff after the code.

    Thanx in advance

    Try 9609 ...........

  2. Thanks Bruce201 for your help, but i havent reader to read the eeprom, the s/n is correct from the label, and from TP...

    but , but nothing....

Just one other thought... the radio is allowing you to enter code?, i.e four stars appear like **** and it is not showing 'WAIT"

Sometimes radios will 'time lock', in which case you need to leave radio powered on with ignition to 'accessory' position to reset.

Failing any of those problems above... definately a job for the radio decoder.

    Sorry

  3. Yes, i doit...and not worked!!!!

OK.... firstly the code given is the correct original code for your serial number.

You need to check your serial number, from the label attached to the metal casing.

I suspect you have provided the correct serial number, and it is probably the case that the radio has been re-coded to another code in the past.

The code is stored in eeprom 24c02, and if you have an eeprom programmer to read the memory contents, I can provide a code from this... If you don't have the equipment to read eeproms, then a radio decoder in your area will be able to help you..

    Cheers.

  4. @boxster_nut

4736 is the correct original code for the serial number given. (I've verified this with two separate sources)

Sometimes reading serial numbers from radio displays can give wrong numbers, just due to deteriation of the displays...

I'd remove the radio, and check the serial number printed on the label, attached to the metal casing..

You've explained that you've entered 12 wrong codes.... Did the radio go into time lock?

  5. I have a 2001 Boxster S with the radio locked up due to a dead battery. I am the second owner, when purchased it did not include the radio code card.

Radio Unit is a Becker CDR 220

    Model Number BE 6625

    Serial Number 15008757

Thanks in advance for any assistance that you can provide.

    Will Gray

    Try 1549 ........

  6. Becker CR210

    BE 2182

    ser # V5008351

I got the two tools and pulled the stereo out. I am going to disconnect the battery soon. I see that at least 25 other CR210 BE 2182's have asked, so it must be the serial number V5008351 that gets the code.

    Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully;

    Rapewta

    Try 9464 ...............
